What equipment did the MOTIV staff members use at the U.S.Open and what surface and drillings were used. And which ones combos worked best.

With all the Trade Shows in June thru July & the US Open, Brett is on a well deserved vacation. He'll be back on the Trade Show circuit as soon as he returns and I'm sure he will update us on the equipment, layouts, and reactions of the balls used by our staffers in Columbus.

With the three house configuration of the US open this year ball selection and progression played a huge part in everyones success. Each house had its own characteristics and the 3 bays of lanes at Holiday bowl even added an additional level of difficulty versus the other houses with a single stretch of lanes.

For me personally ( thanks to Nick Pahr and Brett) it played out like this ...

Day 1 -Wayne Webbs Columbus Bowl
Primal Scream on Fresh
Primal Rage on initial push down- Pin down
Primal Rage -Pin up to finish

Day 2- Western Bowl
Primal Scream on Fresh
Primal Rage pin down
Sigma Tour last 4 for + 115

Day 3 - Holiday bowl
Primal Scream Game 1- Bay 1 (213)
Primal Scream Game 2- Bay 2 ( 153)
Sigma Tour Game 3 -Bay 3 ( 200)
Sigma Tour Game 4 - Bay 1 ( 193)
Sigma Tour Game 5 - Bay 1 (200)
Sigma Tour/Venom Toxin Game 6 - Bay 2 (171)
Venom Toxin Game 7 Bay 3 ( 201)
Thrash Frenzy Game 8 Bay 3 ( 233)

Many of the guys were throwing Raptor Talons on the fresh as well. I saw Primal Rage, Venom Strikes and Sigma tours as well as Thrash Frenzys...

Hope this helps!!!

Thanks Rick.It doesn't look like the Primal Rage was used too much.Any reason why.
