All things being equal....The Primal Scream for me is a touch sooner, guessing because of the solid coverstock. That being said, obviously that makes the Primal Rage cleaner but is much stronger downlane and I am even leaning towards more overall hook!

The Primal Rage is NOT geared just for a THS. It has made two PBA telecasts, one on 32 feet and one on 52 feet. I think it is good on the fresh because it has so much continuation!

It's honestly one of those rare balls that no matter what type of ball your looking for it's going to just be something you want to have!

What would a good layout be for this ball. I just got it i feel like your layout would work well for me. most of the equipment i have is drilled pin up im still new to understanding drilling and what everything means exactly. Im defiantly a cranker with high rev and i want the ball to go as long as possible before it abuses the pins. on the 35 x 5 1/2 x 45 layout if i have the green dot higher up will that make it go longer? sorry im a newby =(

Chilly honestly the best recommendation is to consult with whomever drills your stuff. Typically taller pins (above fingers) generate more length but there are also so many other variables. Just to answer your question, if you generally have a favorite layout though not a bad idea to use that on this ball!
