Where are we going to get good technical reports on the balls now, if what I heard is true about BTM?

BJ reviews are weak.

It is official. BTM is closing shop.

Rick Ramsey is working to continue a tournamet like the BTM had, but without the backing of the now defunct magazine.

I liked BTM for the ball reviews but the rest was just too technical for me. Needed a degree in physics to even begin to understand what most of the articles were about. Its appeal just wasn't broad enough, in my opinion, to attract the average league bowler or even those who just wanted to up their game a little. Glad I didn't opt for more than one year at the time I got my subscription. BJ is more for proprietors than bowlers unless you just want general info about the bowling industry. Need a magazine somewhere in between the two: Some detail for the truly avid bowler and some general info for the rest of us. Perhaps an on-line "magazine" with a small subscription fee would do the trick.
