And, no, I'm not talking about the Sigma Sting, which is an amazing ball. If you don't have a Sting yet, you're missing out.

The new release for February came across my email today, and it is seemingly a nod to the base that MOTIV built its business on: smooth and strong ball reaction.

From the email:

Take Control With A Covert Revolt!

The Covert Revolt has been weaponized for medium-heavy oil conditions enlisting completely new technology from MOTIV. Armed with Turmoil HFS cover stock and the Vanquish core, the Covert Revolt attacks with a very strong motion and undeniable continuation.

It will most definitely provide competitive bowlers with a tactical advantage on fresh, higher volume patterns. Low-rev and high ball speed bowlers will find it to be a more versatile weapon that performs on a wider variety of conditions.

WWRD: February 14, 2014
.

Turmoil™ HFS (High Friction Solid) Reactive Cover Stock - NEW!

The Covert Revolt features Turmoil HFS (High Friction Solid) Reactive cover stock, which mobilizes the ball to make an earlier move on the lane and drive through the pin deck with unstoppable force. The shell is tuned with a 3500 grit sanded finish.

Vanquish™ Core Design - NEW!

The Covert Revolt is armed with the new Vanquish™ core. It produces an explosive 2.47 RG to increase rev potential and .056 differential for aggressive track flare. This combination provides devastating hooking power.

No one reads the forum anymore. You're the first post since December 27 and no one has even responded to that one yet. Too much trouble to login anymore. This is the only web site I know of that doesn't remember you from one login to another. They should just close it down. Used to be fun but not so much anymore. Another new ball? One every six weeks? Too many balls. Getting like Storm with a 100 balls to choose from. You can only put so much hook, angularity, roll, etc, into a ball. They soon start duplicating one another. I get the business end of it - new balls all the time for people to buy. But, geez, how many do we need?

Yes!! I was so hoping the next release would be a high end solid sym. Also surprised that this is a brand new ball, new core and new cover. Very exciting. I can't wait to see pictures.

Jerry, I agree with you about the forums. They are a little meddlesome to get logged in, especially with the additional password you need to put in each time. I hope they change that. However I don't really agree with how many balls they're putting out. I think that's good for Motiv. Storm's problem is they're re-hashing the same cores and covers and just mix and matching. Motiv is creating NEW covers, like the Fusion Pearl, and creating some really good pieces. This ball is brand new like I said, new core and new cover, and I think that's very exciting and fits well after releasing 3 versions of the Fusion Pearl cover.

We are currently looking into the login issue. It should, hopefully, be resolved by tomorrow!

Thank you MOTIV Admin for addressing the login issues with the forum. The last several times I've logged in I've had to use the "forgot my password" link to get a new password so I could login.

The Smooth Motion / Medium Heavy Oil spot on ball chart is something I've been waiting for. My wife uses a Sigma Hybrid, but she could use a little stronger ball sometimes. The Covert Revolt sounds like exactly what she needs.

THANK YOU ADMIN! Finally got into the Forum without logging in!!!!

About the Revolt. Where will this be on the Ball Guide? Sounds like below the Raptor Talon but above where the sigma Hybrid is now. I notice the Hybrid is no longer offered at some pro shops. I hope that is where it would go.

Welcome back StickZ. It's good to see some old names resurfacing here.
