The Sniper urethane is nothing like the Tank. The two were developed with entirely different intentions. The Tank is intended for dry lanes and high friction surfaces. The Sniper is intended for spares. I suppose you could sand it enough and put a dynamic enough drilling on the Sniper to make it hook a bit, but you could have done that with the plastic one.
So, long story short, the two will both remain in the line and will be VERY different in performance and purpose.
