Biography

I started bowling from the age of 5 and at the age of 7,  I became a double Junior  National Champion. From that year on I won at least 2 medals every year, this included 8 junior national champion titles and 4 junior national records, 3 which are still standing now.

I made Junior Team England at the age of 13 and during my four years in the team I achieved 28 gold medals, 22 silver medals and 12 bronze medals. This included 3 European Championship Gold medals and 5 silver medals. In 2008 I was also chosen to represent Under 24 Team England in the World Youth Championship. The first year I was eligible for Adult Team England I got picked for the 2009 World championships in Las Vegas. The following year in 2010, I was chosen as part of Team England to participate in the European Women's Championship in Latvia. I won a gold in the trios and bronze in the doubles, team and masters. Only 2 weeks later I flew to Finland and represented Team England in the 2010 World Youth Championships, where we won a bronze in the team event. I also won the Silver medal in the All-Events which topped off the year for me! In early 2011 I was chosen for the team to go to the Women's World Championships in Hong Kong. I was also chosen to go to the Commonwealth Championships in Malaysia and after winning a silver in the doubles I went on to win the Masters Gold in a TV final. An amazing experience! 2012 was incredible as I became a Motiv Staff player and won the Scottish Open, Irish Open, with a 300, and Welsh Open. I was also proud to lead off for the Gold medal winning England team during the European Women's Championship in Holland. 2013 has started well as well as my achievements have also been recognised by local sports awards who awarded me with best performance of 2012. I have also just shot my second 800 series and   retained my Welsh Open title, winning it back to back.

My passion for bowling is a major part of my life and ill always strive to be the best I can be. I am also a coach for the Fareham Youth Bowling Club, where I can coach children aged 5-18 and watch them grow through the sport. I also work closely with my local pro shop, Blacky's Pro Shop in Fareham. My goals include becoming world champion and always going for gold with Team England.
