Christopher Oates

Birthday: 02/21/1987

I first starting bowling when I was 11 years old, so quite a late starter, then started playing junior tournaments when I was 15.

I had lots of high and lows as a youngster but started playing adult events in 2006, when I started out on the adult scene the target was to qualify for Team England and represent my Country, it’s what I’ve always wanted to do at every level.

Having done this now for a couple of years the goal posts have changed, I now want to play in the Major Events for my Country.  I am fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to play in the Commonwealth Championships last year and will be representing Team England in the Commonwealths again in October 2014.

A lot of training had gone into developing my game over the previous years and this continues in order to give me the opportunity to experience more of the major events.

I still have lots to improve on and elements of my game that I want to change if I want to win titles and win them regularly.

I want to play in Europe/America and all over the world, all things that I am capable of doing competitively when I continue with the level of commitment I’ve shown over recent years.

I look forward to the journey ahead, having the MOTIV supporting me now will only help make that dream a reality.

300 Games: 11
