So, if you buy a sniper for a spare ball and want it just to go straight. Do you get your finger holes drilled like a house ball?, not finger tip.

i think most will want your spare ball to have the exact same grip that you have on your strike ball I always want the same feel from ball to ball

I agree with badbeard. What makes the Sniper, or any plastic ball, go straight is the surface of the ball. The reason spare balls have become so popular is it gives the bowler a method for picking up spares without changing his/her release.
Spare balls used to be only for 10 pins, but with the advent of sport shots, the spare ball has become more popular with better bowlers who need a consistent method for picking up all spares across vastly different conditions.

I've seen a common layout on plastic cover balls with a core that are used as a spare ball. The pin is above the fingers on the center line, and the cg also right on the center line. This should leave the ball with very minimal difference in side weight and the pin up should give the ball length. Or at least the what I got out of it, I've never done it for myself but it seemed to make scense.

would that be the best way to drill the sniper, if you want it to be its straightest? Does the sniper have a pin? Do you order them like anyother ball with pin and top weight?

I ordered my Sniper today. I called bowling.com and there are no pin placements specs, only top weight.

The CG will always be within 1/4" of the pin.
I will have to post a pic of mine, i placed the center of the sniper logo in my PAP and the pin in the track, it looks trick going down the lane.

The cg on my ball is actually in the pin. I'm looking forward to seeing your layout Justin. I want to use my Sniper on those 35-37 foot sport patterns that have been absolutely killing me this summer.

Does anyone know if Justin posted a picture of how his sniper is drilled? I did not see it anywhere and I'm getting ready to drill mine up and just wanted to take a look at how he had his done.
