Some sequels are worth the wait.  Back in 2011, the Sigma Tour became one of those balls bowlers never stopped talking about. Fifteen years later, the legend comes back stronger. Meet the Sigma Tour Pearl, a weapon built for modern lane conditions. Fast revving, clean through the fronts, and explosive down lane without becoming uncontrollable. It fits perfectly between your benchmark piece and your big angular pearl.

Over the past year, Motiv has reinvented what our pearl coverstocks can do with the Evoke Hysteria, Venom Hysteria, and Nebula changing perceptions and turning the heads of so many bowlers. The Sigma Tour Pearl takes that evolution even further with the proven Sigma core, proven Propulsion technology, and a shape every competitive bowler needs.

Atomic Propulsion Pearl Reactive

The Propulsion cover line has become the standard for clean and angular motion. The Propulsion covers found on the Evoke Hysteria, Venom Hysteria, and Nebula are angular, versatile, and reliable for casual to competitive bowlers.

The Sigma Tour Pearl features the new Atomic Propulsion™ Pearl Reactive coverstock.  This new cover gives bowlers more traction in oil than the Dark Matter Propulsion cover on the Nebula, while creating more down lane motion than the Propulsion MXV covers found on the Evoke Hysteria and Venom Hysteria.  Atomic Propulsion creates a shape that lets you stay aggressive without losing control.

Sigma Symmetrical

One of the first cores ever created by MOTIV, the Sigma™ core was built to fit in the middle of a bowler’s arsenal.  With a low RG of 2.47 and a moderate differential of .047, it revs up easily while still creating enough flare to separate itself from weaker benchmark pieces.  It’s stronger and more dynamic than the Gear core balls in the Venom line, but still an easy step down from the Overload asymmetrical core in the Evokes.

When to use

  • Speed Dominant

For bowlers who struggle to use the exceptionally clean pearls in the Motiv line like the Nebula or the Venom Hysteria, the Sigma Tour Pearl offers more traction while still providing substantial down lane motion.  Additionally, for speed dominant bowlers looking for a ball that compliments their Evokes, but gets down lane easier for higher friction environments, this is a great option.

  • Balanced

Balanced bowlers will use the Sigma Tour Pearl as their angular compliment to a benchmark ball.  When the ball that you use to read the lanes becomes too early, or lazy down lane, the Sigma Tour Pearl is a great compliment.

  • Rev Dominant

Higher rev players will love the shape they see from the Sigma Tour Pearl.  On house shots where the strongest balls just don’t have enough pop down lane, the Sigma Tour Pearl is an outstanding option as the core is strong and stable, but the cover gives length and down lane motion.  With a bit of surface to smooth it out, many rev dominant bowlers could even use the Sigma Tour Pearl as the first ball out of their bag on a house shot.

Good things come to those who wait

This is a ball dreams are made of!!!! The battle tested Sigma core with the Atomic propulsion cover truly is a match made in heaven. Pushing super clean threw the heads like a normal pearl ball and then responding to friction better then any ball on the market. The absolutely perfect benchmark pearl ball.

A Legend Returns! Motiv Sigma Tour Pearl

For my game, this ball fits perfectly between a benchmark ball and a stronger angular pearl. It offers more traction than many traditional pearlized balls while still providing the continuation and backend motion needed to open up the lane. Whether you're a league bowler, tournament player, speed dominant, balanced, or rev dominant, the Sigma Tour Pearl deserves a serious look.

    Phenomenal Versatility!

Straight out the box to lane. With slight adjustments to speed/release, I was able to play the entire lane! This ball doesn’t quit but also doesn’t over react either. I was extremely impressed by its versatility! Can’t wait to use this at regionals.
