The new solid purple Venom Shock produces a violent reaction on light to medium oil conditions.  It attacks the lane with the proven Gear™ weight block and new cover technology – Turmoil™ MFS (Medium Friction Solid) Reactive, which is a modified version of the more aggressive shell featured on the Covert Revolt.  This core and cover combination provides a smooth yet angular backend motion that strikes with devastating continuation.   

As far as shelf appeal, the Venom Shock does not disappoint.  The vibrant orange logo really pops off the purple shell.  And, for those that are into glow-in-the-dark bowling, the logos on the ball glow orange and green. 

The Venom Shock really does have it all – performance, looks, and a great price point.  The most shocking thing about this ball may be that you get such outstanding performance at such an affordable price! 

WHEN TO USE:

  • Speed Dominant - Bowlers with higher speeds or moderate speed paired with lower rev rates, the Venom Shock is a great option for control in higher friction environments. Late in league nights or on low volume patterns, the Venom Shock shines for speed dominant bowlers.   
  • Balanced - For the balanced bowler the Venom Shock is an absolute must have in the middle of their arsenal.  Balanced bowlers will find that the versatility of the shock allows it to be used in many different volumes and lengths of oil from dry lanes to moderately high volumes of oil.  An added bonus for bowlers who love the Venom Shock is how well it responds to surface changes.  
  • Rev Dominant - Those with revs to spare can use the Venom Shock in many volumes of oil and see outstanding down lane continuation for a ball that is conventionally thought of as a control ball.  A shiny Venom Shock is a staple in the bag of many PBA Touring players who want to create some angle without sacrificing control in later transition.

    Clutch is an understatement!

    This ball does it all! I’m 10 months into bowling and wish this was the first ball I ever invested in. For all you new bowlers curious about a “benchmark ball” or your first ever, I promise this ball will exceed your expectations and will forever have a slot in your arsenal. First ball out the bag, medium, light, dry oil.. the Venom Shock does it all. Low rev, high rev, speed dominant.. this ball gets the job done with confidence!

    Favorite Ball I’ve ever used

    I have been bowling for almost 30 years, starting in Juniors and now as an adult. I purchased this ball this year and my average has gone up 7 pins and I just bowled my first 300 game with it. The shot recovery, pin reaction, and overall versatility of the ball has been an absolute game changer. I purchased this for my dad for Christmas and we have had nothing but good things to say about the Shock. 10/10

    Such a great Benchmark ball

    When I say Benchmark I mean that I can just go to the Shock and relax without overly exerting myself. I can throw this ball and throw consistent pocket shots. Really impressed with the movement. Love this Venom Dhock I can see why it’s been around so long!

    The Venom Shock has a smooth predictable motion to the pocket.The color scheme looks incredible on the lanes and the ball sends crazy messengers. A must have for bowlers at any skill level.

    I purchased this ball to fill a hole in my bag. It definitely did the job and has turned into my favorite piece. This is my first Motiv ball, but I'm certain that it won't be my last!
