View Privacy PolicyI picked this up on the suggestion from Kasey at Bowlers Depot. Stand left and throw it right. For me, it comes back hard and plows through the pins! I'd get another one if it wasn't so hard to find now.

This is a great compliment to the Flare IMO, when the Flare is too much in the heads and you need something that still has similar continuation this is the ball to go to! This is also one of the first balls out of my bag for league nights, so smooth off the spot and it reads the mid lane so well. The continuation… it will run right over the 8 pin every time! Special Edition ball so get yours on order!

I've always been a pretty big fan of the Octane and every quadfire core I've ever thrown, so I don't think it's overly surprising that I found a place for this ball in my bag.
Overall, it's smoother than I expected, but that also could be the layout (4.5x35). Don't let that confuse you though, because it's still really really clean.
I think balls like this are easy to overlook because they aren't ALWAYS in play, and this ball has a tendency to really shine late in a block when you need to meet the following conditions:
Clean
Not super fast response
Gear core too small to go through the pins properly
I find these conditions often when I'm forced left on both house, and sport shots, and I've also found that when I'm forced into gutter lofting territory with the Jackal Flash, I can ball down, move about 7 right, and throw this one instead. As someone that sucks at lofting as a whole, this is a great thing to have in the bag for later in long blocks.
On the right side, I don't see this being overly useful on the fresh without a good bit of surface, but my advice is to keep it shiny and use it when it's at its best: the burn!

The VIP from Motiv is the first ball in collaboration with EJ Tackett and boy is it a special piece. I'm trying to recommend this piece to everyone that is looking for a cleaner ball that can be used towards the end of league or a tournament. This ball features one of our cleanest, and responsive covers which is the infusion pearl reactive cover which really clears the front, and really kicks down lane. For people that loved the Octane, this ball features the same core as the Octane but with an updated cover. I drilled my VIP with a 4 inch pin to my PAP and a 70 degree VAL angle which ended up putting the pin under my ring finger. Despite the stronger pin, this ball easily gets down the lane and still recovers from anywhere. This ball is great when you have to move left at the end of a tournament and get your ball down the lane and still flip hard enough to get the corners out. What's also amazing is that this cover takes to surface adjustments great! So if your VIP is going too long, don't be afraid to take an abralon pad to it. Get your hands on this special limited edition piece before it's gone!

I really love the response on this ball and I hope everyone who gets the chance to order one gets one because they are limited edition.
If you've been a Motiv Fan and you remember the Quadfire core with the OG Octane ball, then you'll love this. With the new Infusion Pearl cover stock, this ball can break through any lane condition and break hard at the break point like crazy!!!
This ball is very versatile and strong! Whether you bowl straight down 10 or you swing the lanes, I think this could be anyone's benchmark ball. I'm not gonna lie, not only is this a pretty forgiving ball, but it looks gorgeous going down the lane!
