How To Build A Ball Arsenal

I was really looking forward to the extra power the Sigma Tour promised, but it feels similar to my old one. I've been a big Motiv fan since 2012, and almost every ball I've gotten has been fantastic. In fact, the only two that haven't quite lived up to expectations were the yellow Forza and this Sigma Tour.
Interestingly, my old Sigma Tour, even with thousands of games on it, seems to react very similarly to the new one. I was hoping the new coverstock would provide a bit more strength on the house shot, but it loses traction just like the old one.
To give you an idea, I get much better power, grip, and continuation with my Blue Coral. The Sigma Tour has shown potential on very used lanes with broken-down oil, but that's not its intended use case for me. I've had some good games with it, but overall, I was hoping for a stronger ball for house shots that wouldn't end up alongside my old Sigma Tour.
Next time I'll be going for a larger gap between on the chart and not go for memories(even though I'm still happily using the Tour)
The Motiv VIP Sigma sets the gold standard for pearls. Unfortunately this ball is now discontinued, this ball is an absolute beast. I’m normally a 185 avg on sport shots and a 200 avg on house shots. With this ball I shot 267 on a sport shot. And can easily average 225 on a house shot. Please Motiv bring this one back, in my opinion it is among the two best balls ever made, the Venom Shock and the VIP sigma. They make a great 1-2 punch. If you can find one for any price, get it, it’s worth the money. Get MOTIVated!!!

Won this ball and was hoping for a good dryer lane ball. I realized quickly I can play up and in on the fresh, or angular on the dry. Snaps back hard for me and it’s quickly becoming a favorite.

Was lucky enough to get this on the day of release. Took me a good minute to get used to it and give it credit. Some oil in coverstock is all it took for me to give this ball the credit it deserves.
This ball excels on light/medium shots and it's at its best when it meets friction. A really smooth motion downlane motion with a devastating punch to the pins! Have thrown it on multiple amounts of sport/challenge shots and it always sees its way out the bag as THE option at around the halfway point of tournament blocks!

I got this ball thinking with the placement on the ball chart that it would be a great tourney ball, and it would fill in on the lower oil pattern shots.
It DOES do that. BUT... I can throw this at the beginning of the night on a house shot. I can throw this at the end of the night. I can throw this.... anywhere!
It doesn't excel on HEAVY oil, but if there is friction, get it to it, and the ball will pick up and oh my! The angle to the pins is great and it doesn't seem to overpower the pins. I've left very few 9pins with this ball.
If you are debating on this ball, stop. There is a reason EJ put his name on this ball. Don't miss out on this one! IF I wasn't saving for the Fury, I'd be looking at getting a second one of these to have 2 different drillings! It's THAT good!
