Brace yourself— a lethal dose of Venom is coming.  The Venom line, already legendary, introduces the latest game-changer, the Lethal Venom.  This wicked new addition offers the predictable and smooth motion you loved from the Venom Recoil but dials it up with the latest cutting-edge technology.  Leverage MXC coverstock with Duramax technology pairs with the asymmetrical Gear APG core for a deadly combination.

At the heart of the Lethal Venom is the Gear APG asymmetrical core, and it’s an absolute powerhouse. With a fast-spinning low RG of 2.47, a controllably low differential of .036, and an intermediate differential of .013 — this core strikes the perfect balance of control and versatility. What does that mean for you? It’s like having the precision of the original Gear core from the Venom Shock—but on steroids. The Gear APG lets you adapt and attack the lanes with confidence.

Now, let’s talk coverstock—the Lethal Venom features the same Leverage MXC Solid Reactive cover originally found on the Subzero Forge.  That means the Lethal Venom is the first Venom to contain the game-changer of Duramax additive technology!  This means that the cover will hold its surface longer, have better traction in the oil, create a smooth down-lane motion, and allow for maximum control. This isn’t just innovation—it’s domination.

When To Use

  • Speed Dominant Bowlers - For speed dominant bowlers, the Venom Shock and Black Venom may be too clean to use on fresh oil.  For bowlers in that situation, the Leverage MXC coverstock will give enough traction to use a lower differential core like the Gear APG when more rev dominant players are using them.  Additionally, speed dominant players benefit greatly from Duramax enhanced coverstocks and the Lethal Venom will serve as a great step down from the Subzero Forge and Evoke for lower oil concentrations or straighter angles.
  • Balanced Bowlers - The Lethal Venom will be a great benchmark option for balanced bowlers to use as the first ball out of their bag.  For balanced bowlers, a smooth, controllable, lower flaring ball is useful for reading an oil pattern and giving a great deal of control early in competition.
  • Rev Dominant Bowlers - Many rev dominant bowlers need smooth and controllable motion, but struggle to use high differential bowling balls.  The significant flare of a high diff ball can often create issues with carry for rev dominant players.  WIth the .036 differential of the Lethal Venom, rev dominant players can use something that will respond more slowly to friction on the lane without being hindered by excessive flare.

    Surprising performance

I was not really sure what to expect from this ball being I already have a Venom Shock in my arsenal. I was a bit concerned about overlap. In short, this ball acts like it has snow tires on when it goes down the lane. No big surprises, it just carves a nice arc, and yet if you can find enough oil to get around the ball a bit it will turn up some backend. Seems like it will be my go to option when I'm having a difficult time managing transition.

    Great control piece for transition

The Black Venom has been one of my favorite late block/high friction tools in the Motiv arsenal. It is nice to see the APG Gear core back with a power upgrade from the Subzero Forge in the Leverage MXC cover.

It really fills an interesting spot in the bag.
When the lanes get messy, and the pattern is transitioning, the new Lethal Venom creates the perfect balance of power and control, allowing you to manage that tricky transition really well.

This Ball Lives Up To It's Name

679 Off the Press and Nothing under 719 in League after that since drilling this about a month ago with a High Series of 785 and a 300 game to go with it.

I have 18 Games on this Ball and am carrying a 243.95 Average for those games. Box Surface with a Tall Pin Layout has made this a literal assassin on the lanes for me.

For comp purposes when figuring where to place it in the bag, Look at it as a pinch earlier / smoother than the black venom. Hands Down, Yes I would recommend this a friend!!

    Oh My! That's Lethal!

Ok, now you all have read my many reviews for the past 4 years I have been throwing exclusively Motiv! And with the past few releases I kept saying that the new ball is Incredible and I don't need another to add to the arsenal! But, another Venom hits the shelves, and you honestly think I am Not going to get it? Especially, one that has the Evoke/Sub Zero cover? So, Motiv Ball release #33 for me, we decided to check my information and update. My PAP is 2.5inches over and 1/4 inch up, we decided to go with a smooth layout without the sharp backend. And Boy am I glad we did! Game 1 was a 268, game 2 was a 254! Right out of the box! Being that it is a Stronger Cover, and Smoother Core, makes it a Phenomenal Continuous Ball! This ball definitely seeks oil, and clears the fronts very well!
No matter where you throw it on the lanes, it definitely responds very well, just try to Not get it into the dry or else it will definitely kick itself back! The Leverage MXC Solid Cover is beautiful for any pattern. Just be careful, those of you high rev slower bowlers on House Pattern. The Gear APG core, even though it's Asymmetrical, it's Not an aggressive Asymmetrical like the Jackal Line! Out of the Box 3000 grit LSS is the perfect finish for this ball! This ball will be in my bag for awhile! Definitely one to get! Better get yourself today!
