This ball is a must-have for bowling on dry lanes. The centers near me do a pretty lackluster job of keeping up with oiling regularly, so any time I go out to practice I’m usually battling a lane that has already seen a hundred house balls piped down the middle. Additionally, winters in the Midwest call for lots and lots of heat, which flattens the lane out even more. In times like this (being a slightly more rev-dominant player), I have a hard time getting even my weakest reactive ball to hit the pocket cleanly no matter where I stand.
This is where the Shadow Tank has been a life-saver for me. I know that, even on these absurdly dry lanes, I have a tool in my toolbag that I can use. Thank you Motiv!

Next to the Venom Shock this hands down one of the best balls I've thrown. Very easy to control on drier lanes and no over reaction. Motiv is my choice for all my bowling balls
Core: Flux: Symmetric
Type: Symmetrical
Coverstock: Frixion M7 Pearl MCP
Box Finish: 1000 LSS
Layout: 60 X 4 ¼ X 35
Overall Summary
Shadow Tank starts up very early and is very smooth downlane, which I consider ideal when needing help controlling my ball motion or blending out the lanes on broken patterns.
I liked how smooth and even Shadow Tank was on broken down patterns, Shadow Tank grabbed the lane swiftly and blended out the motion at the end of the pattern
I saw a smooth motion that didn’t over-hook when it saw the dry, and the lower-flaring core let me hold and play a more direct line to the pocket.
I also was rather impressed with how long the cover stayed intact, in fact mine is yet to lane shine which I find fitting because a Shadow doesn’t shine
However if your looking to shine from the bottom of your bag I encourage you to look into the Shadow.
Your game will thank you for it.

Amateur bowler here. I don't practice and I bowl league once a week on a house shot. I don't crank, I'm a down and in bowler. My reactive ball was out of control. I couldn't throw more than 2 shots in a row and hit the same spot. I was resigned to using my urethane ball most of the time.
I saw the promos for the Shadow Tank and suspected it was exactly what I needed to deal with how the lanes change every week and from pair to pair.
Mine actually came in a day before it was released to the public and I rushed to my pro shop, got it drilled, and fired off 20 shots just to get a feel for it.
Week one I warned my team I would probably suck and was going to bowl all 3 games with the new ball no matter what. I bowled about 20 under average. Week 2 I was expecting to do the same, but by halfway through the 3rd game my team needed me, so I finished with my urethane and punched out.
Week three, YAY, it's broken in! It has now absorbed enough oil to be consistent as advertised. Other than the 2 Brooklyns I threw every shot was in the pocket. I bought this ball looking for a more steady shot than my reactive, but more hit than my urethane. I bowled 20 pins over average.
Week 4 made me a believer. Not only am I able to keep the ball on the line I want. I have not missed a single spare with this ball since it got seasoned! Again, I bowled 20 pins over average.
Did I mention that this thing hits like a rock? My strike ratio is over 50%, only a couple of splits (in the 10th of course), and a manageable number of corner pins. I'm thrilled with the results and feel like this ball performs as advertised.
