Be the first to know
The Iron Forge is my first Motiv ball. I bought it for my son for Christmas but I have found myself using it more than him. The hook took me awhile to figure out but once I did, my score jumped.
This may be my first Motiv ball but it surely won’t be my last. I can’t wait to try out the rest of the line up.
I know this ball lists as medium to heavy oil but my layout is long and strong and this ball is my go to ball when the lanes start burning or if there is a lot of friction early. It plays the friction so nice, even this 300 rev player can move left, send it right and it loves to explode the back-end. I have an Ember, as well, and soon a Flare but this is clearly a must have ball for Motiv faithful!
So I had this ball purchased as a birthday gift, and had it drilled at my local pro shop who had done all my other balls. Not sure of it's luck of the draw but this ball has no movement, it's basically an over priced straight ball. I recently switched back to my Villain which isn't supposed to be as aggressive and it had way more action.
I have had the Iron Forge ball now for about a year. Again as stated in an earlier review I use my Iron Forge in league play on a fresh pattern and it works great. In fact Just bowled my first 300 game of my lifetime with it and have been bowling for over 30 years. This ball works great as a starting ball in league play or as a ball when lanes start to break down.
I absolutely love this ball it rolls down the lane smooth and snaps back and carry a lot of energy through the pins. I bowl with two balls Iron Forge and the Jackal Ghost
