Not sure of it's luck of the draw but this ball has no movement, it's basically an over priced straight ball. I recently switched back to my Villain which isn't supposed to be as aggressive and it had way more action.
I have had the Iron Forge ball now for about a year. Again as stated in an earlier review I use my Iron Forge in league play on a fresh pattern and it works great. In fact Just bowled my first 300 game of my lifetime with it and have been bowling for over 30 years. This ball works great as a starting ball in league play or as a ball when lanes start to break down.

I absolutely love this ball it rolls down the lane smooth and snaps back and carry a lot of energy through the pins. I bowl with two balls Iron Forge and the Jackal Ghost

Most seasoned bowlers will tell you not to use shiny stuff on house shots, especially on fresh house shots, because the shiny cover won't gain traction in the oil and the ball will be flippy and overly touchy downlane. And while that's true to an extent (that's just physics), the Iron Forge has been pleasantly surprising for me in that exact scenario.
Against the common advice, I throw mine on a house shot in league, and for me (two-hander), it's just the right amount of everything. Just enough shine to get through the front, but not so much that it misses the spot. Just enough dig to gain traction in the oil, but not so much that it forces me left. And most importantly, just enough core to recover from deeper angles, but not SO much core that it overwhelms the cover or forces me too far left too soon.
Calling it a Goldilocks ball might be a bit of a stretch, but I'm willing to risk it. :)
