View Privacy PolicyWhat can I say... If you are looking for a benchmark ball, the description from Motiv isn't wrong. I have never had as much confidence in a bowling ball as I do my Pride. The strong cover lets it read the lane early and the core rips it back on the backend and just destroys the pins. A few weeks ago, my Pride took some damage at the bowling center, leaving some pretty big gashes in the track. Without a second thought I ordered another Pride to fill that spot in my arsenal. This is truly a great ball with a nice even shape down the lane. 6 ball arsenal = Mythic Jackal, Sky Raptor, Trident Odyssey, Pride, Venom Shock, Fatal Venom

This ball has become my go to ball during league night.

I'm not the most experienced when it comes to bowling. (Just yet)
I have found this ball excels when the heavy oiled lanes start to depreciate on your typical house shot. I rolled 7 strikes in a row, 5 late game, and 2 starting the following game in my latest bowling session.
The core definitely delivers the power through the pins. (I use a 14lb ball)
And the cover stock has been holding nicely with on 1 very minor scratch after 30 games of use.
I would definitely recommend this for its intended purpose. Med/ Heavy oil lanes.

This ball is great. It doesn't matter if it is on a sport shot or house shot. This ball controls the pocket and gives me miss room unlike other balls. This is an amazing ball.

I want to love it, but I can't.
For me the ball is VERY over under.
It's drilled 45x4.5x45 (as I recall, lost the note in my phone when I broke it)
On a worn house shot (the opportunities I've had to throw it) I can find a solid line and throw a string of strikes. The ball drives great! Then I pull it ONE board into the oil and numerous times I've left left a 5 pin. A 5? Where did the drive go? Then the next ball I oops... and over compensate and toss it wide by a board and the thing comes in like a freight train and leaves me a 9 pin! No drive to all the drive?
Now... when I'm on, and it's on... man, I enjoy throwing it. But to have to be that "on" to throw it makes it VERY hard for me to pull it out of the bag when I have 10 other Motiv balls that I can grab.
I saw a video that JR Raymond did and was told to try a different drilling for some of his Motiv stuff. In that video he saw positive results. I may give that a try on mine. If that works, I'll be back to report those results and change this review.
