The layout I used on the Alpha Jackal is 65-5-30. I’ve never been a big fan of asymmetrical bowling balls but this one I’m a huge fan of. Normally I have problems with asymmetrical balls rolling out and stopping but not with this ball. This ball reads the middle part of the lane perfectly and still continues through the pins. I will be using this ball a lot to start tournaments on longer patterns and some medium patterns when there is enough volume. This is definitely one of my favorite balls in my bag.

The New Motiv Alpha Jackal is something that I've never seen before. This ball is so strong and early, yet it still has a ton of pop on the back-end and unreal continuation thru the pins! The first one I drilled with a 60x5.75"x30 layout, allowing me to circle the lane and get it to the right with ease when there's a lot of volume in the middle. The second one I drilled at
120x1-5/8"x70, which allows me to keep the ball in front of me and play straighter angles. Both have great reactions. This is a must own ball!

This ball has been absolutely phenomenal. I tend to struggle sometimes with continuation from big asymmetric balls like this due to my ball roll, but just like the ghost this ball absolutely blew me away! I can open my angles up almost as much as I want with this piece and it will come flying back. It's definitely stronger up front than the Ghost but nowhere near as rolly as the Abyss. If you're looking for a big asym that will still pop downlane, this is the ball for you!

I am so excited about this Alpha Jackal, the V2 Predator Core is my favorite core that Motiv has out. As a lower rev player it gives me that freedom to get the ball to rev up earlier with the Low RG and Higher Differential. The cover on this ball is STRONG and it takes to changes well. I have mainly used this cover at 1000 and 2000 and have used it mainly on higher volume patterns. I have mine drilled 65x4.5x65 which keeps it pretty smooth and eliminates the over under. Motiv Alpha Jackal Review:
The Alpha Jackal is the next big piece in the Jackal line up. The Alpha reads the lanes early and still manages to keep strong continuation down lane. Being a big Asymmetrical with an earlier cover, the Alpha does shine when it sees more oil on the lanes. But it does allow you to get left and open up the lanes without burning up. I used my asym layout of 80x5x70 this allows the ball to keep a strong roll without getting to sideways off the spot. With how versatile this ball is you can shine it up or add surface to it and it will still stay strong through the pins! Pick yours up today!
