The Blue Coral Venom™ is the first ever hybrid asymmetric found in the 10-year history of the Venom™ line. The latest stage of evolution in the wildly successful Venom™ line, the Blue Coral Venom™ focuses on versatility and benchmark reaction for moderately high friction surfaces. An upgrade to the Venom™ Recoil, the Blue Coral Venom™ provides more traction in the oil with a stronger and more continuous down lane motion.

With the Coercion™ MFH Reactive cover, the Motiv Blue Coral Venom™ provides plenty of length through the front of the lane, while picking up in the middle of the lane with a smooth and controllable transition. This hybrid cover is remarkable thanks to its ability to provide traction in the oil, without sacrificing control down lane. This performance provides the strength and incredible versatility that the Venom™ line is known for.

Versatility is also what makes the Gear™ APG core special.  Its low differential and asymmetry allow the Blue Coral Venom™ bowling ball to attack the pins from shallower angles using a more aggressive cover stock.  Originally deployed because weight holes were being eliminated, the slight asymmetry of this core gives ball drillers more options than a typical symmetric design.

WHEN TO USE:

  • Speed Dominant Bowlers: For speed dominant bowlers, this will be a medium dry lane ball for use at shallow angles.  While many balls for medium-dry to dry lanes tend to skip past the break point for speed dominant bowlers, the high performance coverstock on the Blue Coral Venom™ will have no trouble gripping the lane.  Additionally, the Gear™ APG core allows players who like to play straighter to do so with more ease.  This should be a great ball for speed dominant players to play more direct on fairly dry lanes.

  • Balanced Bowlers:  Bowlers with speed and rev rate that match will find many uses for the Blue Coral Venom™, due to the versatility it offers.  This Venom™ has more traction in the oil than any before it.  The Blue Coral Venom™ has more traction in oil than the Venom™ Shock, and offers much more control than the Fatal Venom™.  Balanced bowlers will be able to use the Blue Coral Venom™ from a variety of angles on medium to medium-dry lanes when other Venoms™ can’t dig in the oil, but other high performance balls are just too strong.

  • Rev Dominant Bowlers:  For rev dominant bowlers the Blue Coral Venom™ is a perfect benchmark ball.  Due to lower speed or higher rev rates, players of this classification often need to “ball down” from what balanced or speed dominant bowlers would use.  While the Blue Coral Venom™ is classified as a medium-dry oil ball, for those who are rev dominant it is a benchmark that offers moderately clean and controllable ball motion.

Here at Motiv Bowling, we want you to excel when you step out on the lane, and there’s no better way to do that than by using one of our high-quality, high-performance bowling balls. Whether you’re just starting out or have been a bowling pro for years, we’re sure to have something that’s right for you and your skill level!

A Venom with plenty of bite

This ball is an AMAZING addition to the already known/celebrated Venom line. I loved the Venom Recoil and was excited to see another piece using the asym Gear core roll out. This thing did not disappoint. It's a wonderful compliment to anything else in the Venom line and especially good for house shots. It provides a stronger option than the Venom Shock but doesn't overdo it on lighter oil conditions. I got mine drilled for additional flare/backend finish and this thing is a beast on the backends. Carries and continues through the pocket no problem over and over again. This ball will really move too, it's not the MOST angular piece but it might surprise you with the amount of pop you see off the friction. Love being able to transition with ease from this ball to the Recoil (they make an excellent 1-2 punch) but you could easily use this with the Shock or Fatal Venom for a killer medium/light/house shot pattern arsenal. Plus the blue colorway on this is absolutely eye catching with that bright orange Venom logo. Have been asked about it a number of times just from the color alone. If you're looking for a ball in the mid price range and already have a Venom Shock this should absolutely be your next pick-up.

    Coral Venom

This is my first ball from the Venom line and I will be looking at other balls in this line. This ball delivers a good punch at the pins. It has been very versatile for me. I can crank it up or go down and in with it. It seems to like any oil pattern. This ball has quickly became my favorite ball in my bag.

This ball is perfect for a low rev player like me

This ball has gotten me closest to my first 300. I had the front 9 then left a bucket, covered it then struck in the fill shot for a 276. It fits perfectly between the venom shock and pride which are 2 of my favorites. It got me closest to my first 700 with a 686. For a low end asym it has length but not a ton like the fatal venom. It also isn't too rolley but it picks up in just the right spot

    Coral venom

I absolutely love this ball. It is slightly more aggressive then the Venom Shock in my opinion. I love throwing Motiv products because they are always smooth and what I'm looking for. I have recently purchased the Revolt now waiting till they hit the market to receive mine.
