The Blue Coral Venom™ is the first ever hybrid asymmetric found in the 10-year history of the Venom™ line. The latest stage of evolution in the wildly successful Venom™ line, the Blue Coral Venom™ focuses on versatility and benchmark reaction for moderately high friction surfaces. An upgrade to the Venom™ Recoil, the Blue Coral Venom™ provides more traction in the oil with a stronger and more continuous down lane motion.

With the Coercion™ MFH Reactive cover, the Motiv Blue Coral Venom™ provides plenty of length through the front of the lane, while picking up in the middle of the lane with a smooth and controllable transition. This hybrid cover is remarkable thanks to its ability to provide traction in the oil, without sacrificing control down lane. This performance provides the strength and incredible versatility that the Venom™ line is known for. 

Versatility is also what makes the Gear™ APG core special.  Its low differential and asymmetry allow the Blue Coral Venom™ bowling ball to attack the pins from shallower angles using a more aggressive cover stock.  Originally deployed because weight holes were being eliminated, the slight asymmetry of this core gives ball drillers more options than a typical symmetric design.  

WHEN TO USE:

  • Speed Dominant Bowlers: For speed dominant bowlers, this will be a medium dry lane ball for use at shallow angles.  While many balls for medium-dry to dry lanes tend to skip past the break point for speed dominant bowlers, the high performance coverstock on the Blue Coral Venom™ will have no trouble gripping the lane.  Additionally, the Gear™ APG core allows players who like to play straighter to do so with more ease.  This should be a great ball for speed dominant players to play more direct on fairly dry lanes.
     
  • Balanced Bowlers:  Bowlers with speed and rev rate that match will find many uses for the Blue Coral Venom™, due to the versatility it offers.  This Venom™ has more traction in the oil than any before it.  The Blue Coral Venom™ has more traction in oil than the Venom™ Shock, and offers much more control than the Fatal Venom™.  Balanced bowlers will be able to use the Blue Coral Venom™ from a variety of angles on medium to medium-dry lanes when other Venoms™ can’t dig in the oil, but other high performance balls are just too strong.
     
  • Rev Dominant Bowlers:  For rev dominant bowlers the Blue Coral Venom™ is a perfect benchmark ball.  Due to lower speed or higher rev rates, players of this classification often need to “ball down” from what balanced or speed dominant bowlers would use.  While the Blue Coral Venom™ is classified as a medium-dry oil ball, for those who are rev dominant it is a benchmark that offers moderately clean and controllable ball motion.

    Another amazing addition to the venom line

    I have been rolling the Venom Shock for years and it’s always been the first ball out of the bag for me. The Venom line has always been a great fit for my game. I used the Venom Shock Pearl as a compliment to my Shock for a while and now I use the Fatal which I also love. When the new Coral Venom was announced I was super excited to try a hybrid Venom and I am absolutely blow away. This ball combines everything that I love about the Shock with everything I love about the Fatal. I rolled my last few weeks of league with this ball for all 3 games and it was money ! Motiv has outdone themselves with this release. A+

    Awesome ball!!!!

    This ball is phenomenal. I’m newer to bowling so I did a ton of research before making my decision. I looked at every brand available but after everything I found the motive brand as a whole stood out to me. The Blue Coral Venom is amazing. I highly recommend this ball to anyone. I can’t wait to save up to buy more Motiv balls and gear.

    Recently ditched Storm and converted to Motiv. This is my first ball that I have purchased. I currently have a Thrash from 2013 as a spare ball, but Blue Coral Venom is my main ball. I plan on staying with Motiv! Thanks Motiv!

    Highly Venomous

    I was initially surprised by how responsive this ball was to the friction. Maybe a bit too responsive. But this is easily alleviated by getting a game or two under the belt. I went with my usual pin-above layout (I don't know the numbers) because I wanted something responsive downlane but with enough cover to get through the fronts without missing the spot. This ball hits all the marks! It gets downlane really well (much cleaner than my old Venom Shock) and it very responsive downlane. As with any Venom, the ball rolls forward very strongly, and the core and cover combination gives me a ton of entry angle. This results in excellent hit and carry. I can't recommend this ball enough!

    So versatile!!!

    I recently purchased the Blue Coral Venom and was completely shocked at the performance of the ball. I bowl on a THS and one league on a challenge pattern. On a THS I have to adjust my hand position flatter to keep it on the lane because it's very strong. On the challenge pattern this ball came to life. This is going in my bag for tournaments. This ball needs to stay in the oil. As soon as it hits the dry the ball takes off. Shot 703 out of the box on the Challenge pattern. Stay MOTIVated my friends.
