This was the first urethane type of ball I have ever thrown, and at first, it was a little difficult but in no time this ball became my go to ball on the lanes. Its smooth, predictable reaction down lane mixed with its powerful reaction on the dry truly makes it a deadly ball on the lanes. There is also quite a bit of forgiveness for missing right and left given its aggressive reaction on the dry and not reaction to the oil. This ball is truly amazing under any scenario you may encounter.

I absolutely love this ball. I bowled 767 first night out of the box. It rolls smooth through the mid lane and very strong back end continuous through the pins. I love this ball so much, I have two of them drilled different ways.

Love the ball. Used it on all types of lane conditions. Haven't shot under 650 series with it. Start right with the ball and slowly migrate inside with it. The ball is very predictable, even while moving inside with the ball and with my feet.

I literally cannot say enough good things about the Covert Tank. It's been the ball of the year for me. I *depend* on this ball to give me a chance on any condition where the lanes are either drier or just super touchy wet-dry. House shots, sport shots, USBC Nationals even. The Covert Tank is my go-to when I need to know exactly what the ball is going to do. Especially with me getting around the side of the ball so much, my equipment tends to be pretty jumpy off the spot. On fresh or drier conditions, I need predictability more than power. Urethane doesn't work for me. It either rolls up too early or never hooks at all. Ball has already paid for itself three times over in two short months. I cannot wait to see what more MOTIV ends up doing with this new coverstock. I've never been this excited about a coverstock before but Microcell Polymer is truly special.

The Covert Tank features the Torx core found in the Forza line, and the all new Frixion Microcell Polymer cover that is NOT urethane or reactive resin. This ball will bridge the gap between resin and urethane, and will give bowlers with lower rev rates the look of urethane without sacrificing carry. I drilled mine pin above the bridge and compared it with the Venom Shock Pearl drilled the same.
I tested the Covert Tank on a late night session after a league had finished bowling. With the previous Tank releases, I always had trouble carrying with my lower rev rate. The Covert Tank is like a previous tank on steroids. It rolls so smooth but hits and carries like a truck. When compared to my Venom Shock Pearl, I was about 2 and 1 left. They compliment each other very well. I also compared it with the new Ripcord and was about 4 boards left with my feet.
I’d feel confident recommending this ball to bowlers who want that urethane look but may not have the big revs like the guys on tour. For those with higher rev rates, I feel this would be a great ball to get you to your urethane equipment.
