Box Finish: 2000 Grit LLS

Layout: 45 x 4 ½ x 70
Strengths
Forge Ember provides traction and continuation downlane.
Forge Ember is not as angular as Iron Forge, however Infusion MXC Hybrid Reactive is powerful at the breakpoint.
Forge Ember has more length than Forge Fire and Forge Flare, in terms of backend it fits under Jackal Legacy and Trident Odyssey.
Weaknesses
Forge Ember is not something I would use on light oil and dry conditions. I would recommend Top Thrill for lighter conditions.

Let’s talk about this special ball here. The Forge Ember is really one of one, crazy! When bowling in tournaments we often find ourselves having to change balls because of Lane conditions. When I’m able to roll with the Ember I find myself able to stay in this ball longer then normal. This new Technology is something unheard of. #getmotivated

I picked up this ball and the Mythic about a month ago. I love my Jackals, so I made the "mistake" of throwing my Mythic first during league.
The next week I pulled the Ember out. Good night! I threw a 777! This thing starts to read the lane, in the oil, but doesn't jump or over react like my Revolt Uprising can. Yet it doesn't slide out and read late like my Mythic. Really, it's a PERFECT ball for me to start out my league nights, and depending on our opponents for the evening, it can be my ball all night long!
It has a very nice smooth predictable motion that you want. For me it's become my Benchmark ball.
I bowled a tourney yesterday that was a "mystery pattern" shot. Ran about 41/42 feet. It was a heavier pattern and this ball picked it up and ran with it, my first 3 games were 695.
I will say when the lanes start to break down, you CAN move in, but I've actually found that moving to the Coral or jumping in and wheeling the Mythic is a better option.
If you are thinking about getting this ball, stop. Just walk into your local Pro Shop and get one coming. It's THAT good!

Bought thinking I needed something a little weaker than the Mythic. I bought this and was blown away by how smooth it rolls. One of the most predicate leaders balls I now own.

Ball is a Striking Machine
I went with my preferred symmetric solid layout (Pin Under Ring, CG just Right of the Thumb), left it at box surface and shot 280-279 off the press and proceeded to finish in 5th place in a Doubles Tournament with my friend that day.
The Forge Ember with my layout on it proceeded to give me access to a part of the lane I usually see to much to soon on to stay in. I was in part expecting it to be more of the same in that regard but it surprised me by not being to early but rather just clean enough through the heads. I would recommend this to a friend and fellow competitor if they need something that will fight and shape thru the oil but not necessarily hook at their toes.
