View Privacy PolicyWith the ongoing successes I was having with the original Forge, I was instantly excited upon notification of the Forge Fire. It was fitting that I compared the two side-by-side. With a lower RG, I knew going in that the Detonator Core tries to create an early motion which allows for a controllable shape downlane. As the Forge has been a huge weapon for me on the fresher conditions, I based my layout for the Forge Fire to be used primarily as the lanes transition. The Forge Fire was quite surprising at first with how much more motion it creates downlane. The core and cover combination is amazing together because it gives me a controlled view of the lane, and allows me to attack with a bit more aggression downlane.

Summary:
The Forge Fire will easily become one of my favorites, especially within the current lineup (not that any of it is bad). To simply put it, I’ve never seen a lower RG Hybrid or Pearl, perform so well. The controllability and aggressiveness is highly impressive. With the numerous patterns that I encounter, I will definitely have plenty of use for the Forge Fire both now and in the future. Paired with the original Forge, this 1-2 combination is going to be hard to be beat.

The Forge Fire is a great addition to the ever growing amazing lineup of Motiv balls! This ball gets through the fronts with ease, reads the mid lane, and and gets into a nice heavy roll into the pocket. It is a strong ball but not over reactive off the end of the pattern. Definitely something you can get left with and not worry about losing any carry. Compared to the OG Forge, it is longer and stronger, whereas the Forge picks up earlier and has a rounder shape to it. The 2 layouts I used 60x5.75"x30 which puts the pin above the bridge and 50x3.5"x35 which is a stronger layout with the pin just right of my ring finger, making the ball reaction very round. It's also the ball featured in the attached YouTube video.

This ball is a great compliment and fits perfectly between the Ghost and the Villain Scorn. The ball is clean through the front and the coverstock is versatile to where you can hit it with a 2000 pad for a little earlier hook and smoother reaction or hit it with a 4000 pad to get it down the lane a little more while still being very controllable on the back end. The ball does not overreact to friction and it is a must have for your tournament bag.
FORGE FIRE is a must have.
For myself this ball is amazing. It allows me to move left(house shot) and not worry about the corner pins while knowing if I miss right it is coming back like it’s on FIRE. If you want a ball for heavier oil or for when you need to move left but can’t carry this is the ball for the job. This is a ball that I will stock up on and have a few in the bag for years.

With a low RG and higher Diff combined with a hybrid cover stock, the Forge Fire gives a very predictable shape through the middle of the lane, with a lot of length and more back end motion. I'm able to throw this ball on heavier oil patterns and it still has incredible shape down lane and continuation through the pins, which is something that was previously missing from my arsenal. If you're looking for a higher end ball with more down lane motion, or are a speed dominant player that has trouble with carry, look no further than the new Forge Fire!
