Using the same layout for both balls (50 x 5.5” x 45), I find more length and a few less boards overall hook, but a stronger shape downlane. The Mythic Jackal allows me to transition left as a right handed bowler as the pattern breaks down without having to manipulate my release as much as the stronger Ghost cover.
The Mythic Jackal also allows me the option to play straighter angles with an asymmetric core on fresher heavy volume patterns.
The coverstock has held up very well to lane play and also performed well with a slight dry scuff using a 2000 grit pad.
Several have asked me about my choice between the Jackal Ghost and Mythic Jackal, however, they are equally unique despite sharing the Jackal name. I use both of these bowling balls for different occasions and they compliment each other well.

I drilled mine 90x2x45; all I can say is WOW!
Really clean through the fronts with a lot of pop downlane.

I personally didn't match up that well with the Jackal Flash and the Golden Jackal due to my ball roll, rev rate, and ball speed, but the Mythic Jackal took everything good about both of those balls and combined it into one. The Flash was a bit too clean and fast for my liking and the Golden handled oil well but was too slow off the spot. The Mythic sits directly between the two balls perfectly with just as much response to friction as the Flash and more ability to recover downlane, but handles oil amazingly! I am able to open up the lane with the Mythic so much sooner than I used to be able to and allows me to get into my favorite part of the lane. It's a perfect complement to the Jackal Ghost and Jackal Legacy as it clears the fronts better but still retains that amazing Jackal shape downlane. It also works extremely well with balls like the Ripcord Velocity and Iron Forge as it gives me a perfect idea of when to switch to those balls. This is easily the best shiny Jackal Motiv has ever made and it goes everywhere with me!

When I got this ball I was really looking forward to it. I drilled it with the same layout Nick Pahr uses as his tester lay out the 55x5 1/2x35 and oh my god does the ball work well with that drill pattern. Right out of the box I had to move deep on a fresh house pattern and get more movement out of it than any other piece of Motiv Equipment I have. I have helped my local pro shop get a few orders for this ball just because people watched me throw the ball and saw the movement. This is one piece that I can actually stand in the same place for a majority of the games throw.
Recommend this ball 10 times out of 10 great piece motiv

I don't think my review can do justice to this ball. I was amazed the first time I threw it as to how this ball came out of the oil and did a left turn. It's unlike any other ball in my arsenal that includes the Venom Shock, the VIP Affliction and the Trident Horizon. It has quickly become the first ball out of the bag for me. It allowed me to place third in my association tournament this past weekend! Thanks again to Connor Pickford for setting this up for me!
