The Pride™ line comes roaring back with the newest addition, the Pride Liberty.  A fearless ode to the spirit of American craftsmanship, the hybrid Pride Liberty commands attention on and off the lanes. The Pride series is the benchmark for medium oil ball motion, and this new hybrid Pride Liberty is the stronger and more angular upgrade to the original Pride.  This isn't just another bowling ball; it's a statement piece, standing as a powerful tribute to all things bold and indomitable.

At its heart beats the mighty Dominion core.  Featuring a 2.50 RG, .042 differential, and .010 asymmetry, the Dominion core bridges the gap between the Gear APG, found in the Black Venom and the Overload core found in the Evoke.  This unique benchmark asym spec range allows bowlers to wield an asymmetrical ball on lower volumes and higher friction than the Evoke or Jackals allow.  Additionally, asymmetrical cores help players to control ball motion more than most symmetrical cores now that weight holes are illegal in competition.

Wrapped around this core is the latest innovation in our arsenal - Dynamic Propulsion Hybrid Reactive coverstock. Imagine a cover that’s cleaner than the Pride Dynasty, yet as assertive in its down lane motion as the Pride Empire.  This hybrid cover blends the best of both worlds to create a ball motion that will get through the front of the lane with ease without losing any bite on the backend.

WHEN TO USE:

  • Speed Dominant Bowlers - The Pride Liberty should fit well in the bag of a speed dominant bowler looking for a control ball on moderate to moderate-high friction environments.  The hybrid shell should make the Pride Liberty a versatile middle of the bag option for speed dominant bowlers.  With some added surface, it can be a controllable medium oil ball, but with a bit of shine, a piece to use later in the block for moderate-dry lanes.

  • Balanced Bowlers - For balanced bowlers the Pride Liberty is a great “lane reader".  This will serve as an outstanding first ball out of the bag for bowlers looking to get a great idea of what’s going on with the lanes.  The Pride Liberty will also be outstanding for fresh to moderately broken down lanes for many house shots.

  • Rev Dominant Bowlers - Most rev dominant players had trouble using the Pride Dynasty because of the exceedingly strong coverstock.  A cleaner and more angular cover allows Rev dominant players to throw the Pride Liberty when speed dominant players would use a Pride Dynasty; granting them great command of the pattern in moderately high concentrations of fresh oil.

    Loving this ball!!

Haven't touched the surface since getting it out of the box. 12 games on it now, and I've averaged 205 over the 12 games, so this ball delivers. Works really well on either 43' or 39 foot patterns I've bowled on, although I will say it seemed more consistent and easy to throw on the 39' pattern. Predictable motion, hard hitting back end. Pairs well with Dynasty and Crimson.

    True Freedom on the Lanes

We finally get a Pride in a hybrid coverstock! and outside of looking fantastic, the Pride Liberty I think finally nails the strong benchmark shape the Pride line has been chasing. The versatility of the hybrid cover is going to allow this already versatile core to match up to many more types and styles of bowlers.

With my ball speed around 16-17mph, and my rev rate on average of 450, I find the Pride Liberty to be a better match up than the solid versions, and it is a great one two punch with my favorite Pride, the Empire.

    Liberty For All

Check with your preferred pro shop to get your PAP so an appropriate layout can be given to you.

That being said, I went with a 45x4.5x35 Layout on my Pride Liberty and cracked the shell with a 2000 Pad prior to throwing it.

Right off the press I found a ball that gave me the always desired Easy thru the front, smooth in the mid lane with plenty of motion off the spot. Generating the right angle thru the pins on the fresh was effortless. With modest moves, I was able to keep the pocket thru night though I feel I have better options to combat the transition, I was pleased to see how little I had to move thru the night as I finished with a 764 series off the press for my 1st impression with the Pride Liberty.

“Customize your arsenal with Pride Liberty-Biberty”

The Pride Liberty continues to raise the performance bar of the Pride series for my arsenal. The Liberty fits a great performance gap by offering a hybrid cover with strong & predictable shape.

The out of box performance made the Liberty react a bit stronger in the midlane. After a slight cover tweak to weaken the surface, I find the Liberty fits a good gap between higher end solids & the great Pearl options.

The 3-color pour on the Pride Liberty has great shelf appeal. Love the red, white, and blue color scheme on a ball named “Liberty” proudly made in the USA!

Amazing ball, even better with surface changes!

I went with a 50 x 5 x 40 on my Pride Liberty and it's been one of my favorite bowling balls in the bag. Out of box the ball was the perfect 1-2 punch to my Pride Dynasty. Where the Dynasty was a bit earlier and slower, and the Liberty was more downlane with snap. I recently took off the factory polish and have it at a worn 2000 and it's by far one of the most versatile pieces in my bag. 100% recommend!
