Versatility. Continuation. With a brand-new core and cover stock, the Pride™ from MOTIV® is the designed to be the perfect benchmark piece.  Unique from anything currently available from MOTIV®, the Pride™ fits perfectly into the medium oil position of the ball guide.

The new technology at the heart of the Pride™ is the Dominion™ core.  It has specifications that place it between the Gear™ APG and the asymmetrical cores seen in the Trident™ and Jackal™ series.  These unique asymmetric specifications leverage the physics of the Dominion™ core so the Pride™ can be used on moderate volumes of oil and higher friction than the typical asymmetric bowling ball. 

Additionally, now that weight holes are illegal in competition, the asymmetric Dominion™ core will enable players to control ball motion more than most symmetric cores.  MOTIV® Tour Rep, Brett Spangler, said, “What’s so cool about this core to me is that I never felt like I was throwing an asym.  I get the versatility of the asymmetrical core, but the Pride™ never wanted to go too forward down lane or glue up too much in the front.  To have the versatility of an asym without some of the traditional drawbacks is incredible.”

The Dominion™ core is encased with the latest reactive Coercion™ cover stock from MOTIV® called UCS – Ultimate Continuation Solid.   It was created by providing more length and more angle to the existing Coercion™ MXC cover technology.  This new UCS Reactive cover stock is the most versatile Coercion™ shell to date and complements the unique specifications of the Dominion™ core perfectly.   

Speed Dominant Bowlers

Bowlers with higher speed or lower rev rates benefit greatly from asymmetrical cores.  Providing versatility in drilling and the ability to limit the skid phase for bowlers who struggle to get the ball to slow down is a massive plus. 

Balanced Bowlers

For balanced bowlers this is the centerpiece to their arsenal.  The Pride is the first ball out of the bag and the one used most often.  The controllable core and cover combination allows balanced bowlers to use the Pride on a variety of surfaces and concentrations of oil.  The easily tuned Coercion UCS Cover can also be shined or scuffed to allow an even broader window for balanced bowlers to use the Pride.

Rev Dominant Bowlers

For many rev dominant bowlers, asymmetrical balls are too strong to use on house shots and moderate oil patterns.  A lower differential and cleaner cover than most asymmetrical solids allows rev dominant bowlers to have an asym in their bag that they can use on many more patterns and higher friction surfaces.

    Proud to throw the Pride

    When the Pride was compared to the Venom Shock as another benchmark ball, I was a little skeptical at first. Knowing the core was stronger, I wanted a pure comparison, using the same layout pin down (60x5x75). Any sliver of doubt was erased in the first few shots seeing a similar shape with an overall stronger move, about a 5x2 further left on a fresh pattern and about 7x3 left when a tube opens in the midlane. The usual hand tweaks work on both, although the Pride reacted much stronger keeping the hand up the back, even with a pin down layout, a compliment to the Dominion core design. Eager to see what new releases may have this core.
    If you have a benchmark ball, make it your second benchmark ball. The Pride adds to the already wide variety of hook shapes in the Motiv line. There is a spot in everyone's arsenal for this ball.

    BEST Release of 2021

    Hands down....PRIDE is my favorite release of 2021. It was close between this and the Purple Tank, but this ball has gone with me everywhere since it was released. When MOTIV has said that this ball is the ultimate benchmark ball, they really mean it. It's worked on a variety of patterns for me and in the short time that the ball has been released, I've already drilled 3 different ones. The difference in shapes is really different in each one and you can drill it to do whatever you want and it does anything and everything extremely well!

    The new Dominion Core and the Coercion UCS Cover bridges the gap between the Jackal line and Venom line absolutely perfectly and is the definition of what a benchmark ball should be. On top of that, the logo and colors of this ball in person are absolutely stunning. Pictures online don't do the ball justice until you see it in person. Shout out to the R&D team in Michigan for their awesome work developing this ball!

    This ball is latest Asym created by MOTIV. The MOTIV Pride is the perfect benchmark piece of equipment. This core to cover combination creates versatility, continuation and fits perfectly into the medium oil position of the ball guide. It features the new technology of the Dominion core, in combination with the latest Coercion reactive cover stock called UCS -Ultimate Continuation Solid. The UCS cover was created by adding more length and more angle to the existing Coercion cover, already made popular by the Jackal Ghost. It’s built with the unique specifications to allow players more ball motion control than most symmetric ball, but yet to have the versatility of an aysm, without some of the traditional asymmetric drawbacks.

    It will be a great fit in your bag on medium oil. This core, cover combination will create versatility like never seen on medium oil conditions. The Pride will become the first ball out of your bag almost every time you bowl and you will found it hard to put it down. The shapes and versatility it creates allows you to stay with this ball longer than most you will ever use.

    My Pride is laid out with pin just above the ring finger, the cg stacked below the ring finger and the MB about 1” to the right of the thumb. This ball has already found a place in my bag and is usually the first out of my bag when the lanes turn on. If you are looking for that benchmark ball that will give you that great read and then allow you to just keep using it. Look no further, you've found it.

    Amazing!

    After watching the videos and reading the reviews on this one. I had to get one. I drilled it with my favorite layout 49 x 4.50 x 30. It picks up well and it has a place in my league bag and now my tournament bag. I used it on the house pattern at both centers I bowl in and last weekend used it on a medium short pattern.

    This ball is unlike anything I've ever thrown

    This ball is crazy, I recently went to a Motiv test drive. I tried every ball they brought until I grabbed the pride. It was super controllable in the front and mid lane. I was amazed with how well it would come back when missing outside, and it still came back hard. I'm definitely snagging it before the end of the year
