Combining two of MOTIV®’s greatest releases, the Primal Rage and Venom Shock, the Primal Shock bowling ball takes the best of both balls to create something truly special. Turmoil MFS cover technology from the Venom Shock and the Impulse V2 core from the Primal Rage combine to provide strong mid-lane traction with plenty of angle down lane. Motiv’s Primal Shock dominates medium to heavy oil conditions, offering a vast array of options to attack the lanes. This is a can’t miss combination that bowlers have been asking for since 2013!

Turmoil MFS technology has been a benchmark for MOTIV, providing moderate mid-lane traction with plenty of down lane motion. Featured in the longest running MOTIV ball of all time, the Venom Shock, this cover perfectly balances control and aggression. This is the pinnacle of benchmark ball motion.

The Primal Shock takes the ultimate benchmark ball motion found in the Venom Shock and amps up performance by pairing it with the strong Impulse V2 core found in the Primal Rage. This core creates incredibly strong down-lane motion and marks a significant upgrade in overall core strength from the Gear core found in the Venom Shock. When paired with the Turmoil MFS cover, the result is a medium-heavy and moderately angular monster that is a must have in every bag.

WHEN TO USE:

  • Speed Dominant Bowlers - Many speed dominant bowlers are unable to use balls with differentials as low as the Venom Shock. A more dynamic core allows these bowlers to use the same cover stock, but with a motion that suits them. The Primal Shock will be a moderately angular complement to a speed dominant bowler’s benchmark ball. This will be an outstanding first transition ball for bowlers with excessive speed or lower rev rates.
  • Balanced Bowlers - The Venom Shock is a balanced bowler’s dream. It’s been the benchmark ball for those bowlers for years now and will continue to be. Over the years, many balanced bowlers have said that they’d like a more angular Venom Shock and one that could create more down lane motion. The Primal Shock is that ball.
  • Rev Dominant Bowlers - The highest rev rate and lowest speed bowlers will use the Primal Shock on fresh oil and high volume patterns when they need to create some angle. Before the rev dominant players can get all the way into the angular pearls, a Primal Shock will allow for easy mid-lane read and moderate angle to start opening up their angles on transitioning lanes.

    Got to leagues late and couldn’t practice with my new 14lb Primal Shock. Shot 245-279-224 748 with 8 out of 9 strikes in all 3 10th frames straight out of the box. I love these balls, just purchased a 14lb blue coral venom as well and have 6 out of 7 600+ series with that one.

    The Primal Shock is the newest ball in our line and fits in the Medium-Heavy oil controllable category. Bowlers will find this ball to be strong in the mid lane and also strong down lane. I’ve found the Primal Shock most useable when the lane is fresh and as they transition it’s a great versatile piece to cover all of your wants and needs.

    The Primal Shock has the Impulse V2 core found in the Primal Rage. The Impulse V2 core gives the Primal Shock a strong down lane motion for Medium-Heavy volumes of oil.
    The Primal Shock has the Turmoil MFS reactive cover, providing a controllable mid lane motion without losing down lane motion. The Primal Shock is perfect combination of two of Motiv’s most popular balls of all time, the Venom Shock and the Primal Rage.

    Masterpiece

    So out of box untouched fresh drilled I shot this ball with no expectations!

    I shot 2 games both way above my avg. I shot a 234 first game . Found my spot and went off for 278! 278 is my highest score EVER bowling . The way this ball grips and reacts is amazing ! I love how no pin is left spared! Crashing the pocket with this ball is a cheat code! Definitely excited as tournaments start up I have this ball and I’m ready to move through the pack like a hot knife in butter! Motiv is only getting better with every release I’m so happy to be with this team as we rip ahead of the pack !

    The NEW Benchmark Standard

    The name says it all, it’s both of those reactions in a single ball. Wrapped around the proven Impulse V2 core from the Primal Series and some Supras is the proven core from a ball you may have heard of….the Venom Shock. The Venom Shock has been a staple in the Motiv line for years and marrying these two components from two proven balls is what you would expect.

    The difference between the Venom Shock and Primal Shock for me personally is that the Primal digs more in the oil and I’m able to use the ball to control the lane more front to back because of the higher DIFF. Despite the lower RG in the Venom Shock, I have it as a cleaner option because of how stable the ball is through the front because of the lower flaring core.

    I’d say the Primal Shock is one of the most versatile balls I’ve thrown in the Motiv line in a while. I’d recommend it to anyone as a great benchmark option to fit in the middle of the bag!

    Wow

    This ball is my favorite ball in my bag it really opens up the lane for me. I had mine drilled three days ago and so far I am really enjoying it. It hits hard, it's smooth and reliable, it's not jumping off the backend. I'm really happy with this ball. Way to go guys, it's awesome.
