Usually symmetric pearls and I don't match up. The new Rip Cord has made an exception in my arsenal. Ball is very clean and very responsive off the friction. I still can not use it as my benchmark most days because it does need more friction than a fresh shot offers to hook up for me. Once the lanes transition early 2nd game I have complete faith in the response down lane.

What do you get when you combine my favorite core from motiv "the oblivion" and put a brand new cover on it? A ball I will absolutely love.
This ball gets plenty of length and has some big time back end. My first 3 games out of the box were 238/258/268 a nice set with never have throwing this ball at all. I'm in love with this ball!

This ball is awesome! Very responsive on the dry, the cover stock stores so much energy down lane, and just snaps in so strong! Recommend this ball for medium and long patterns!

I don't typically go out and write reviews on a product unless it really blows my mind. The RIPCORD has done just that. I was able to get out today for an extended practice session with the ball for the first time since I got it drilled. This ball is exactly what I needed for my current leagues. It stores energy like no other ball I've thrown before and send pins flying in every direction. I was getting strikes even on the light pocket hits because of all the pin action. There were a lot of instances today where I could have, and maybe should have left a 10 pin but I was getting a lot more messengers than I typically do. I have nothing but positive things to say about this ball. I essentially got it to replace my Storm Timeless, and I couldn't be happier with the decision. Products like this are why I keep finding myself with more and more Motiv equipment.

The Ripcord is MOTIV's new mid-level angular piece in the line up. I drilled mine with a little stronger layout and went 65x4x60. This let me play a little straighter or move in and open up the lanes if I had to with it. The ball really tells me what’s going on with the lanes and where I need to be playing them. The 4" pin layout helps make the ball controllable off the break point, while the cover of the Ripcord still lets the ball be super clean through the fronts and retain a ton of energy for me. Overall the Ripcord is a great piece for medium to heavy patterns. It creates the perfect amount of length and hook that will let you free up your swing, open up your angles when you have to, and give you tons of room. Also if you loved the Paranoia lineup, you’ll probably love this ball as it brings back the Oblivion weight block used in the Paranoia series.
