Most spare balls all do the same thing. They go strait. This ball has the added benefit of being durable and shrugs off the nicks, divots, and chip that seem to show up the first time that you use a plastic ball. Motiv is all that I use. Made in West Michigan, can't beat that.

Just received my second Silver Sniper for future use. This ball does what you’re paying for RESULTS. Besides looking great on the lanes it fits the hand well and is precise on hitting the pins. Recommend this ball

If you're looking for the perfect spare ball, this is it. The thicker cover and small core make this the perfect spare ball. The thicker cover prevents the insane chips and divots that one get from a cheaper spare ball option (e.g., T-Zone). This ball hits the target every time and glides right to the pin as a spare ball should. Can't recommend enough. A great, long-lasting spare ball that is worth the price!
Since they first came out I LOVED the clear polyester spare balls, especially the skull ones! I have had some kind of skull spare ball for over 15 years and they look and work great, except that because they are very hard plastic they chip & crack easily. REALLY easily! I have had to plug & fill my current one three times, as it keeps cracking around the finger holes and thumb hole. The last time I fixed it, the damn thing cracked the very first time I used it again!?
Enter the Silver Sniper. Because it isn't hard plastic, it doesn't chip and crack as soon as you look at it! Yeah it's not quite as cool as a clear ball with a mean looking skull inside (what is??), but it looks great and works just as well. At least now I won't have to keep plugging & repairing my spare ball, only to see it immediately chip as soon as I use it! Kudos to Motiv for once again finding a need that hasn't been filled, and filling it.......

Been throwing Motiv since they released the Forge Fire - maybe 4 years? All my equipment is Motiv. I was using a Storm Ice for spares and was reluctant to buy a Polythane cover figuring it wouldn't be as clean or as long as a "hard" polyester ball. I was wrong. This Silver Sniper is super clean - it reminds me of the old original Columbia Blue Dot. It's everything I was hoping for in my first Motive Sniper ball. I just donated the Storm Ice to a junior bowler. Glad to have the final piece of my all Motiv arsenal and to eject that Storm misfit from my bag. I can't recommend this ball enough.
