Introducing the MOTIV® Supra™, a ball created specifically to push the limits.  Combining an extreme, dual density core with a sideways pearl reactive cover, the Supra is capable of more down lane motion than any MOTIV® ball ever created for light-medium oil.

The Impulse weight block used in the Primal Rage has proven over the last 8 years that it is both reliable and great for creating sharp down lane motion.  With the Supra™, we modified the design and pushed the limit to create the new High Impulse™ weight block.  It gives the 15# model a 2.57 RG and .050 differential.  The high RG spins slowly through the front part of the lane, retaining energy, while the dual density weight block and high differential take over to produce a violent skid-flip backend reaction.

Infusion™ Pearl Reactive cover stock adds to the snap created down lane by the High Impulse weight block.  This cover provides ease of length with a pronounced response to friction at the end of the pattern.  Utilizing technology from the RipCord and Forge Fire, the Infusion™ Pearl Reactive cover is the first pearl version in this cover system, offering greater length and more angle.

    Beast on the backend

This ball is a beast! Reads mid lane really well and is very aggressive of the spot. One of my favorite go to balls mid block.

    Supra

Was just able to get my hands on the Motiv Supra and wow! Ball is flat out awesome. Floats the heads like it should and there is no question as to if it is going to make the corner or not. Plus it has enough to go through the pins properly if I miss left and it sits in the oil to carry.

    Well done fellas'!

    Special intentions for special occasions

My pap was measured at 4 3/4 > x 5/8^. Axis rotation is 20° and axis tilt is 10°. My rev rate is 475 and average speed is 16mph. This was all measured off a covert tank drilled 4" x 20°. This ball, like the supra are both gonna be used with special intentions for special occasions.
First off this test review was conducted on a modified 35ft older pba pattern with 25ml of flat oil.
My original intentions for the supra was to use it for shorter oil patterns. So i chose to layout this particular beauty with a short pin. (2" x 40°) this layout puts the core down on its side from the moment you release it. When you play shorter patterns your target is gonna be closer to the gutter. And some times you need a ball to hook better in front of the pins instead of halfway down the lane.
Now today's competition's natural instinct is use urethane. Most of them only for the first few games. I agree, because it works. But, it only works to a point. When my urethane ball finally says I'm done, I'm not reading the lane anymore, i wont hook when you tell me to. The ball is done. Until you re-sand it. Normally takes about 2 games for me to really notice that's happening.
Here's the remedy after it does happen. With the same flare potential as the covert tank, because of the 2" pin layout, and the added roll the supra brings, because of its reactive coverstock, the supra picks up where the covert tank left off and died.
I threw about 20 shots with urethane on one lane just to get the lane worn in like the most common scenario on shorter patterns at tournaments. The oil pushed down the lane and i had to move my feet 5 boards right and my target right off the gutter at the breakpoint with the covert tank. Not the most comfortable place to play. I then threw a couple shots with the supra at the original starting point after the lanes pushed the oil down. The ball over reacted enough where a couple boards left with my feet made things better. From then on, the ball was right at home. Carry down from urethane was never an issue and the ball wouldn't hook half way down from friction thanks to the short pin layout.
On the other lane, same oil pattern but unused. I started with the supra and wanted to use the same line and angle i used braking in the first lane with the covert tank. Yeah that didn't happen. The reaction was much stronger than the covert tank and the roll off the pin deck showed way less deflection. I had to move 3 boards left with my feet at the least from the beginning. My best line was over 9 10 11 at the arrows and anywhere between 3 and 6 board at the breakpoint. Where as the covert tank i was over 4 5 6 at the arrows and between 3 and 6 board at the breakpoint until the ball died and i had to move further right with it.
Alternating between lanes i noticed my lines and angles while using the supra were coming closer together it seems.
I really like what i chose to do with this ball and it out performs its close urethane relative. Again it's being used with special intentions for special occasions. The ball has already paid for itself.
If you have a low track and fewer revs you're gonna love it with a more versatile layout (4 x 35°). The ball wont over jump on you. If you're a 2mph super senior, refer to above text to get your ball down the lane farther and with less effort. Great ball for short oil. Another perfect cover/core combo.
