I’ve been bowling for 25+ years and am admittedly an equipment freak. It’s not uncommon for me to purchase 15-20 balls per year (mostly used so I don’t spend THOUSANDS of dollars a year lol). That being said, the Tank Blitz is the most unique piece of equipment that I’ve ever purchased. I can closely compare the reaction of just about every ball to some other ball I’ve thrown before. Not the Tank Blitz. It is an unbelievable combination of smooth power and continuation. Overall strength wise, its position on the ball chart is exactly accurate. What isn’t indicated on the ball chart is its surprising forgiveness, and the power with which is drives through the pins. Its hitting power is very much like that of the Venom Shock. The Blitz really allows me to roll the ball with confidence because I can absolutely count on it to find the pocket and hit well once it does. The most unique bowling ball I’ve ever thrown.

Let's talk about the new Tank Blitz. First, off I'd like to say I really liked the Covert Tank a lot( I owned 2). I like how the Microcell cover gives me a urethane shape without being urethane since I'm urethane challenged(Nothing urethane ever rolls good for me)
So the Tank Blitz. Ok so for me the Blitz seems SUPER early compared to the Covert Tank. The explanation I received about that change is that players using the Covert felt like they could overthrow the Covert Tank, meaning they could easily throw it through the breakpoint without a lot of surface being applied to the ball. I know they changed cores to the Gear core(the Venom line) and they did something to the cover making it stronger and earlier. Let me say that this ball hooks at least an arrow more than the Covert Tank and it's 5ft earlier. I've had my staff ball for a few weeks and I've been trying my darndest to throw it through the breakpoint. I haven't succeeded yet in that effort. For anyone that needs something to concur the ever cliff'd house shots(a ton of wet/dry), this ball will be perfect for you. If you are looking for something to replace your urethane ball with something that shapes like it and doesn't destroy the pattern like urethane this is the ball for you.
I bet you will see every single Motiv staffer have at the very least one of the Tanks in their bags at all times right next to their Venom Shock. This ball feels like an all-time great and should be around for a very long time! Huge thumbs up on this ball!

The Tank Blitz is Motiv’s new Mid level ball on the smoother side of the spectrum. The Frixion+ cover combined with the Gear weight block gives this ball an earlier, smoother motion that allows you to tighten up your angles and play straighter on the lanes. I drilled mine 65x4x60 which is the same layout I used on the Covert tank. With both balls having the same layout, the Blitz reads the lanes sooner but keeps a much stronger continuation through the pins. If you're looking for that smooth mid level piece to control the lanes, grab yourself a Blitz today!!

The Tank Blitz features an UPGRADE to the cover that was on the Covert Tank. The new Frixion + Microcell Polymer cover provides significantly more traction in the oil than its predecessor! Combine that with the ultra popular core in the Gear and you have a match made in heaven !! This ball provides so much control and traction it’ll leave you wondering what is going on !! The Tank Blitz for me is a ball that is quite versatile, I’ve found myself using it on heavier patters in the track and even on a league pattern from significantly deeper than that !! This is a true must have for any tournament bag !!! Don’t be left in the dust with this one ! Get one drilled and get MOTIVated !
