Prepare to be blown away by the newest limited-edition release from MOTIV, the VIP ExJ Sigma!  Collaborating with Triple Crown winner EJ Tackett, this special ball features a pearl cover wrapped around EJ’s favorite core, the Sigma core. This core, handpicked by EJ himself, boasts an unparalleled compact design that delivers easy revs. Coupled with Dynamic Infusion Pearl Reactive cover stock technology, this fast revving, medium oil pearl is as versatile and dynamic as the bowler whose name it carries.

The Sigma core is one of the first core designs ever created by MOTIV bowling. This fast revving, medium differential core provides outstanding control and down lane arc with many drilling options to customize the ball motion for the bowler.  Ideally used for medium oil, stronger drillings may provide enough track flare for bowlers to use the VIP ExJ Sigma on higher volumes as well.

The Dynamic Infusion Pearl Reactive coverstock previously seen on the Sky Raptor, was slightly modified to be slightly stronger in the oil in order to create the motion EJ wanted to see from the VIP ExJ Sigma.  This tweak gives bowlers more control of their ball motion while maintaining enough angle down lane to use the VIP ExJ Sigma when a low rg pearl is the right play.
EJ's discerning eye is not to be overlooked, as he specifically requested a ball that blends beautifully on the lane.  The stunning color palette of violet, purple, and black pearl were selected for the cover along with pink and silver pearl for the NeoMark logos.  The pearl VIP ExJ Sigma makes a bold statement on and off the lanes. 

When to Use

Speed Dominant Bowlers - For those whose speed overwhelms their rev rate, the VIP ExJ Sigma is a great pearl for later in the day when it’s time to start moving left.  Speed dominant players are often those bowlers who need to be in stronger balls longer than other bowlers.  For those bowlers a low rg pearl with moderate differential makes a lot of sense for late in the block or possibly a second shift league.  

Balanced Bowlers - Balanced bowlers will love the versatility of the VIP ExJ Sigma. This ball can be used as the go-to pearl in a balanced bowler’s bag.  When some help is needed through the front of the lane, but you still need some control of the lane this is the ideal ball.  

Rev Dominant Bowlers - For the Rev Dominant bowler who seems to always need a pearl cover because stronger solids just seem to start up too early, the VIP ExJ Sigma is likely the benchmark ball. Bowlers looking to build an arsenal of balls that are clean through the fronts will absolutely need the VIP ExJ Sigma to use as their benchmark ball on most moderate conditions.

    Smooth pearl with a lot of punch!

    This is my first pearl ball in awhile and man does it not disappoint. Definitely true to the ball chart placement on this one, this ball can handle some oil but stays clean through the fronts and has a smooth but strong backend finish. I felt the ball controlled really consistently but finishes extremely well. Creates lots of pin action and continuation. I found that the ball didn't want to finish when I moved to the extreme left so this won't be your go to for big angles but a pearl option that you can start straighter with and move left a good amount with the transition is a welcome addition to the bag!

    (it also looks awesome, can't go wrong with purple)

    VIP EXJ!!!!!!

    And the wait is finally over!!! The VIP line is my All Time Favorite! And my Go To for Exclusive 10 Backs! The Love of Motiv for me started with the Ripcord Flight, but, the VIP Affliction stole my Heart right away, and Still use it to this day for the shape it brings! So, when the Player of the Year dropped another VIP with the Sigma core?! You know I had to have it!
    Was told to have a smaller VAL angle, we Drilled this bad boy with a 40 X 4 1/2 X 30. This ball is phenomenal! The angle this ball has, is exactly what I have been wanting! This ball Will Stay in the new league bag! September can Not come fast enough!
    This is the first Sigma core ball I have! But I match up the best with Symmetrical cores the best! And this one is absolutely no exception to this! And the Dynamic Infusion Pearl cover is stunning! The look of it going down the lane at 17mph, at 400revs, is just an awesome sight to see!
    This being an ultra limited edition ball, if you don't have one, or have the chance of getting it, you will miss out on one of the Greatest Balls Motiv ever releases!!!! This Ball is going to be one of the HOF balls! Don't sleep on it!
    And Yes, I Highly Recommend this ball to EVERYONE!!!!!

    Open the velvet ropes and roll out the red carpet for this VIP!

    Literally everything has impressed me with this ball thus far:
    - The looks
    - The colors
    - The reaction
    - My 300 game

    I used my fairly typical pin-up symmetrical ball layout for my medium/high rev style. So far, the new VIP has fit in between my Pride Empire and Supra Rally. For my style, I am able to use the VIP with more versatility than other pearlized releases.

    This ball handles fresh oil and allows me to migrate further inside as oil patterns break down.

    The VIP has now found its way into my normal league/tournament arsenal and will also be making the trip to USBC's in Reno.

    I went with a 60 x 5.25 x 40 layout on the new Motiv VIP EXJ Sigma and I will tell you I'm very impressed with this ball! The cover/core combo is something all players should have in the bag as this ball gives a shape that's controllable yet explosive on the backend. It was a smart move bringing back the Sigma core, as this was a very sought after ball in the Motiv line. I have thrown the ball on fresh house oil and on carry down and have been able to use it on both conditions with ease. It's super clean through the fronts and is a ball I can trust to get the job done when the lanes open up on some tougher conditions. 5/5 Stars!

    The SIGMA Core is back. The New VIP has the Sigma Core wrapped in the Dynamic Infusion Pearl cover which was found on the Raptor but with some more teeth.
    This core is fast revving for medium oil with a low RG and moderate Differential.
    When your looking for outstanding control with down lane arc.
    Speed dominant bowlers will like this ball later in the day when looking to move left
    Balanced bowlers will benefit from this ball when they need more length with control.
    Rev dominant bowlers generally need cleaner balls to get the ball down lane with angle. This ball will be benchmark for rev dominant in the bag.

    Overall, the shelf appeal on this ball is outstanding. You just can't go wrong with more purple in the bag.
