The new solid purple Venom Shock produces a violent reaction on light to medium oil conditions.  It attacks the lane with the proven Gear™ weight block and new cover technology – Turmoil™ MFS (Medium Friction Solid) Reactive, which is a modified version of the more aggressive shell featured on the Covert Revolt.  This core and cover combination provides a smooth yet angular backend motion that strikes with devastating continuation.   

As far as shelf appeal, the Venom Shock does not disappoint.  The vibrant orange logo really pops off the purple shell.  And, for those that are into glow-in-the-dark bowling, the logos on the ball glow orange and green. 

The Venom Shock really does have it all – performance, looks, and a great price point.  The most shocking thing about this ball may be that you get such outstanding performance at such an affordable price! 

WHEN TO USE:

  • Speed Dominant - Bowlers with higher speeds or moderate speed paired with lower rev rates, the Venom Shock is a great option for control in higher friction environments. Late in league nights or on low volume patterns, the Venom Shock shines for speed dominant bowlers.   
  • Balanced - For the balanced bowler the Venom Shock is an absolute must have in the middle of their arsenal.  Balanced bowlers will find that the versatility of the shock allows it to be used in many different volumes and lengths of oil from dry lanes to moderately high volumes of oil.  An added bonus for bowlers who love the Venom Shock is how well it responds to surface changes.  
  • Rev Dominant - Those with revs to spare can use the Venom Shock in many volumes of oil and see outstanding down lane continuation for a ball that is conventionally thought of as a control ball.  A shiny Venom Shock is a staple in the bag of many PBA Touring players who want to create some angle without sacrificing control in later transition.

    Can't leave home without it

    What can you say! There's a reason this ball is still around year after year. It loves heading for the pins, even if you miss right. It hits that transitional part of the lane and just goes! I hit mine with 4000 with no polish and it can do great in medium oil patterns, but it definitely favors the drier outside boards 8-1. This is my go-to ball for any new place I play.

    I hope they never get rid of this ball...

    I'm almost getting bored from all the strikes and pin action (almost). Best ball I've rolled. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a house shot destroyer... had much success in league as well. Go Motiv!

    The GOAT!

    If you don't have this ball in your bag you need to get it. This is the GOAT of all the bowling balls out there. Every pro will tell you it's their favorite. If they like it so will you. Nice and smooth roll with the ability to destroy the rack. This ball is the GOAT!

    Venom Shock

    I bought the Venom Shock during summer league to help me clear the front a bit better. I bowl in house shots and a stroker style bowler. Since switching to the Venom Shock my average went up from a 191 to now in the 220s consistently. I have been using it for all 3 games and find it very predictable so small changes is all I need to get more strikes and also play the lanes during transition. I highly recommend this ball. Other balls in my bag, Legacy and Mythic.
