The new solid purple Venom Shock produces a violent reaction on light to medium oil conditions.  It attacks the lane with the proven Gear™ weight block and new cover technology – Turmoil™ MFS (Medium Friction Solid) Reactive, which is a modified version of the more aggressive shell featured on the Covert Revolt.  This core and cover combination provides a smooth yet angular backend motion that strikes with devastating continuation.   

As far as shelf appeal, the Venom Shock does not disappoint.  The vibrant orange logo really pops off the purple shell.  And, for those that are into glow-in-the-dark bowling, the logos on the ball glow orange and green. 

The Venom Shock really does have it all – performance, looks, and a great price point.  The most shocking thing about this ball may be that you get such outstanding performance at such an affordable price! 

WHEN TO USE:

  • Speed Dominant - Bowlers with higher speeds or moderate speed paired with lower rev rates, the Venom Shock is a great option for control in higher friction environments. Late in league nights or on low volume patterns, the Venom Shock shines for speed dominant bowlers.   
  • Balanced - For the balanced bowler the Venom Shock is an absolute must have in the middle of their arsenal.  Balanced bowlers will find that the versatility of the shock allows it to be used in many different volumes and lengths of oil from dry lanes to moderately high volumes of oil.  An added bonus for bowlers who love the Venom Shock is how well it responds to surface changes.  
  • Rev Dominant - Those with revs to spare can use the Venom Shock in many volumes of oil and see outstanding down lane continuation for a ball that is conventionally thought of as a control ball.  A shiny Venom Shock is a staple in the bag of many PBA Touring players who want to create some angle without sacrificing control in later transition.

    I had 3 Major surgeries in 2021. I finally got back to subbing in league play in October 2022. I have 2 300's this season, both with the Venom Shock. It allows me to clear the heads and gave plenty of hitting power on the backend.

    Impressive for a 13 pounder

    Haven't been bowling for more than 10 years. Heard a lot about this ball so decided to restart bowling with this ball. Thought 14lb would be a bit heavy so I got a 13lb instead to start off. Noticing the weaker power due to the lighter weight but it is still giving me impressive strikes. Would get a 14lb Venom or Jackal for my next ball.

    Impressive

    I just got back into bowling after stepping away from the game 15 years ago. The Venom Shock was the first new bowling ball I have purchased since the late 90s. This is the best bowling ball I have ever thrown. It goes through the front of the lane nicely and has a killer backend. 688 series right out of the box. I would encourage anyone who is looking for a bowling ball to to start with the Venom Shock and try out other Motiv bowling balls as well. In 1 months time I have went on to purchase the Primal Shock and the Coral Venom as well. Waiting on the release of the Black Venom as well.
