The new solid purple Venom Shock produces a violent reaction on light to medium oil conditions.  It attacks the lane with the proven Gear™ weight block and new cover technology – Turmoil™ MFS (Medium Friction Solid) Reactive, which is a modified version of the more aggressive shell featured on the Covert Revolt.  This core and cover combination provides a smooth yet angular backend motion that strikes with devastating continuation.   

As far as shelf appeal, the Venom Shock does not disappoint.  The vibrant orange logo really pops off the purple shell.  And, for those that are into glow-in-the-dark bowling, the logos on the ball glow orange and green. 

The Venom Shock really does have it all – performance, looks, and a great price point.  The most shocking thing about this ball may be that you get such outstanding performance at such an affordable price! 

WHEN TO USE:

  • Speed Dominant - Bowlers with higher speeds or moderate speed paired with lower rev rates, the Venom Shock is a great option for control in higher friction environments. Late in league nights or on low volume patterns, the Venom Shock shines for speed dominant bowlers.   
  • Balanced - For the balanced bowler the Venom Shock is an absolute must have in the middle of their arsenal.  Balanced bowlers will find that the versatility of the shock allows it to be used in many different volumes and lengths of oil from dry lanes to moderately high volumes of oil.  An added bonus for bowlers who love the Venom Shock is how well it responds to surface changes.  
  • Rev Dominant - Those with revs to spare can use the Venom Shock in many volumes of oil and see outstanding down lane continuation for a ball that is conventionally thought of as a control ball.  A shiny Venom Shock is a staple in the bag of many PBA Touring players who want to create some angle without sacrificing control in later transition.

    A must have in any arsenal

    I hope they never stop producing this ball. When my sons reach 15lbs, I am buying them both this ball. Its a 300 ball for me!

    Better than I expected

    This is a GREAT ball! I started building a 6 ball arsenal after having to retire my Forza. I already had a Pride and a Trident Odyssey but wanted something a little weaker to play early on the right side. The Pride is my benchmark ball but I was shocked (no pun intended) to see how well this ball rolled. It holds a similar shape down the lane as the Pride but a little weaker than the Pride so I can stand right and burn up the right side before making a ball change and/or moving left and still get a lot of pin action. Recently, my Pride was damaged at my normal bowling center taking a few big gashes right in the track. I needed a go-to ball that I was confident in while a new Pride gets shipped and this is that ball. And it smells nice! - 6 ball arsenal = Mythic Jackal, Sky Raptor, Trident Odyssey, Pride, Venom Shock, Fatal Venom

    Great benchmark ball.

    The Venom Shock is my go to ball, especially when bowling in a new house. It is one of the most versatile balls I have ever owned. On higher friction lanes I can use it on fresh and stay in it for most of the night. On lower friction lanes, it can be used on burn or if you need to play straighter.
    The shape is a predictable control ball. Not too sharp on the backend, but still has plenty of motion and finishing power.
