The new solid purple Venom Shock produces a violent reaction on light to medium oil conditions.  It attacks the lane with the proven Gear™ weight block and new cover technology – Turmoil™ MFS (Medium Friction Solid) Reactive, which is a modified version of the more aggressive shell featured on the Covert Revolt.  This core and cover combination provides a smooth yet angular backend motion that strikes with devastating continuation.   

As far as shelf appeal, the Venom Shock does not disappoint.  The vibrant orange logo really pops off the purple shell.  And, for those that are into glow-in-the-dark bowling, the logos on the ball glow orange and green. 

The Venom Shock really does have it all – performance, looks, and a great price point.  The most shocking thing about this ball may be that you get such outstanding performance at such an affordable price! 

WHEN TO USE:

  • Speed Dominant - Bowlers with higher speeds or moderate speed paired with lower rev rates, the Venom Shock is a great option for control in higher friction environments. Late in league nights or on low volume patterns, the Venom Shock shines for speed dominant bowlers.   
  • Balanced - For the balanced bowler the Venom Shock is an absolute must have in the middle of their arsenal.  Balanced bowlers will find that the versatility of the shock allows it to be used in many different volumes and lengths of oil from dry lanes to moderately high volumes of oil.  An added bonus for bowlers who love the Venom Shock is how well it responds to surface changes.  
  • Rev Dominant - Those with revs to spare can use the Venom Shock in many volumes of oil and see outstanding down lane continuation for a ball that is conventionally thought of as a control ball.  A shiny Venom Shock is a staple in the bag of many PBA Touring players who want to create some angle without sacrificing control in later transition.

    Great Benchmark Ball

    Perfect first ball out of the bag. Smooth but aggressive into the pocket and very predictable. The moment at the end of the shape really helps to kick out corner pins or mix everything up on light hits.

    A must have

    I picked up this ball about a year and a half ago and let me tell you this ball lives up to the name. This ball goes to every tournament. It i shot a handful of 299 in league before getting 300.

    The ultimate ball

    By far the best ball Motiv ever produced. Till this day this ball will do exactly what you want it to do. I have had the same one for over 5 years and just brought it back to box. The ball reacted like it did when I first bought it!

    Two weeks with the ball

    The Motiv Venom Shock is the definition of "reliable." After years of dealing with equipment that can be touchy or unpredictable, this ball is a breath of fresh air because it does exactly what I tell it to do. It offers a smooth, controllable motion that reads the mid-lane beautifully without any of those erratic "jumpy" reactions off the friction. It’s a true benchmark piece—honest, consistent, and built to handle whatever the lane throws at you.
    What really sets the Shock apart is its incredible versatility across the house. I can play it from virtually every mark on the lane; it’s just as comfortable grinding up the boards as it is swinging it from deep inside. Because the shape is so predictable, making adjustments is easy rather than a guessing game. If you’re looking for a ball that stays in its lane and performs under pressure, this is the most dependable tool you can put in your bag.

    Great for middle to later games

    This has been one of my all time favorites currently has my high game of 247. Break this baby out after game one when your line starts to breakdown and this will carry you through the last two games with ease.
