Apex Predator™ Asymmetrical

The dual-density Apex Predator™ core is built for maximum angle and maximum dominance. With an RG of 2.52 — the highest of any Predator core to date — you get easier length through the front of the lane. And that means more stored energy for when it matters: down-lane.  A higher intermediate differential creates a sharper, more explosive skid-to-hook transition. Add the Predator core’s signature high differential flare, and you have a core engineered to create serious angle, even in heavier oil volumes. This isn’t variation, this is an expansion of the performance ceiling. 

Propulsion MXV Pearl

Following the success of the Evoke Hysteria in 2025, the Propulsion MXV Pearl being added to the Jackal line was an inevitability.  This cover offers angularity, can deal with high concentrations of oil, and is the most versatile pearl on the market.  Add a color formulation that was tuned specifically to amplify backend reaction, and the result is the most angular Jackal ever produced. Period.  This is what happens when precision engineering meets performance obsession.

When to Use

  • Speed Dominant

    For speed dominant bowlers it is sometimes difficult to find a pearl that is reliable and strong enough to always catch down lane and provide the necessary angle.  The Apex Jackal will be an outstanding first pearl out of the bag for speed dominant bowlers.

  • Balanced

    For balanced bowlers, the Apex Jackal will be a staple as a dynamic and angular asymmetrical ball that doesn’t need as much friction as other pearls in the line like the Nebula or even the Steel Forge.  The Apex Jackal will be the pearl that sees the lane before the very cleanest pearls are in play.

  • Rev Dominant

    Some rev dominant players will want to use the Apex Jackal early and on fresher patterns where an angular ball is still an option.  Some rev dominant players may be able to even use some surface on an Apex Jackal to have a more controlled look from the Propulsion MXV coverstock rather than risking using earlier rolling and smoother covers that might not carry the corners as well.

    Great Pearl Jackal

    The Apex is the first shiny ball out of my bag when on med/heavy oil. The Apex Jackal is much stronger than the Hysteria which shares the same cover. The added strength comes from the dual density power band core. I really like that the Apex isn’t a super clean pearl, and I can keep moving left without it quitting. Once again Motiv improves on the pearl version of the Jackal series.

    Received a new Nebula for Christmas and purchased an Apex Jackle as soon as it was ready February 3 I used the Apex the first two games then switched to the Nebula and bowled a 300 game series 762 These two balls work great together I have had three 700 series since the purchase of both balls

    Very Happy with the Apex

    Really happy I decided to go with the Apex Jackal, I put the pin over the middle finger and can use it in the first game of my leagues with no issues, but I can use it all night which is great. The ball is very predictable and has a great finish to it, first series with it I shot 300/806. Looking forward to using this ball more and more, and using all levels of bowling balls in the Motiv line.

    Love this ball

    Right off the ball goes down the lain smoth then a great hook in to the pocket verry impressed my score went up twenty pins. Keep up the good work Motiv!!!

    Ok, if you’re like me you may have watched a few YouTube videos about this ball that left people scratching their heads. As Tony Soprano would say “ Fuhgeddaboudit”, I just got mine drilled today and all I kept saying after every shot was wow, wow, wow. This is such an upgrade over the crimson and the new core is a powerhouse, can’t wait to roll it again!
