Clean through the fronts, a strong midlane read, and incredible drive through the pins. It creates the perfect motion for a light-medium oil benchmark bowling ball. Paired with the Gear core, and you will find a benchmark bowling ball that needs to be in every single arsenal.
Bowlers with higher speeds or moderate speed paired with lower rev rates, the Venom Shock is a great option for control in higher friction environments. Late in league nights or on low volume patterns, the Venom Shock shines for speed dominant bowlers.
For the balanced bowler the Venom Shock is an absolute must have in the middle of their arsenal. Balanced bowlers will find that the versatility of the shock allows it to be used in many different volumes and lengths of oil from dry lanes to moderately high volumes of oil. It is good. I have the older one but got it redone. It is good but sometimes it does the trick but other times it doesn't until I switched from the pin up layout i had to the standard tester layout for Motiv and now it is working just great it is a good ball for speed dominant bowlers and rev dominant bowlers highly recommend if you don't have this ball you need to get it asap won't regret it

This ball is absolutely insane, no wonder it's been around for over ten years! I absolutely love this ball, I've only had it for three days and it's my new favorite ball! I laid mine out 50x4.75"x30. At first it didn't seem to match up, if I missed outside it would fly by the break point but if I missed inside it would hook and go WAY too high in the pocket. But I put an 800 grit pad on it and oh my, this thing hits harder than all of my Brunswick company balls combined!!! This thing is a messenger machine, having three in one game. Today I bowled a tournament, my average is around 180, but today I shot 225, 203, and 234, which is around 40 pins over my average. This ball pairs great with VIP ExJ Sigma, when my Shock gets too early this is a great ball when the lanes start to break down afterwards. This is an absolute beast, can't wait to try out the Primal Shock next. I'll have to buy another Venom Shock in the future.

My first Motiv symm. I'm rev dominant & on the long patterns, this ball is a beast! I don't have issues bowling on 45ft anymore because I kept moving left, missed right & this ball hooks a lot. Drilled it 55 x 4 1/2 x 27. Definitely will get another one for short pin layout.

I’m a right handed backup bowler. My ball was drilled for the way I throw, so it curves similar to a lefty. It took soon getting used to but my average continues to improve. Highly recommended this ball!

This was my first (new) ball I bought. The others were used and they were not Motiv. This ball makes you want to play. It improved my game drastically. It’s was my first Motiv but it definitely won’t be my last.
