Gear Symmetrical

At the heart of the Hyper Venom lies the Gear core, a reliable juggernaut.  The Gear core is a proven force in the world of bowling.  Featuring a low RG / low Differential, this fast spinning, low flaring core promises stability in the mid-lane without the risk of burning up due to excessive flare.

Turmoil™ MFS Solid

Well over 10 years later and Turmoil™ MFS (Medium Friction Solid) Reactive is still the ultimate benchmark cover.  Clean through the fronts, a strong midlane read, and incredible drive through the pins.  It creates the perfect motion for a light-medium oil benchmark bowling ball.  Paired with the Gear core, and you will find a benchmark bowling ball that needs to be in every single arsenal.

When to Use

  • Speed Dominant

Bowlers with higher speeds or moderate speed paired with lower rev rates, the Venom Shock is a great option for control in higher friction environments. Late in league nights or on low volume patterns, the Venom Shock shines for speed dominant bowlers.

  • Balanced

For the balanced bowler the Venom Shock is an absolute must have in the middle of their arsenal.  Balanced bowlers will find that the versatility of the shock allows it to be used in many different volumes and lengths of oil from dry lanes to moderately high volumes of oil.  An added bonus for bowlers who love the Venom Shock is how well it responds to surface changes.

  • Rev Dominant

Those with revs to spare can use the Venom Shock in many volumes of oil and see outstanding down lane continuation for a ball that is conventionally thought of as a control ball.  A shiny Venom Shock is a staple in the bag of many PBA Touring players who want to create some angle without sacrificing control in later transition.

    Love the ball

I used this ball once and shot 2 games over my average right out of the box. I think this ball is one of my favorites and I'm glad I bought it. I recommend this for people looking for a ball that hooks a bit and is mainly suitable for an inside ball. I was thinking about getting the Primal shock but I couldn't afford it so I bought a cheaper ball, and I chose this.

Best All Around Ball I’ve Ever Thrown

Most new bowling balls have a production run of about 2 years. However, every now and then a manufacturer hits a home run and the ball remains highly successful and is in demand and production for years. The Venom Shock is such a ball, and it is by far the most versatile ball I have ever used. The Fatal Venom and Jackal Ghost are great partners with this ball for the varying lane conditions.

    Venom Shock

Never thrown Motiv until I had won this ball recently in a league raffle. Ended up going with a 45 x 4 1/2" x 30 layout on it and so far it has proven to be an absolute unit on multiple different shots. 1000% would recommend this for somebody looking to get into Motiv equipment or for somebody looking for a weaker solid. There's a reason why this has been on the market for almost 10 years.

I wish I had this ball sooner than I did

I have been throwing this ball for a little under 2 years. And man I wish I got this ball when it came out. I know most reviews have already said this. But it just cannot be said enough that this is one of the most versatile balls still on the market today. It is a great entry-level ball for someone looking to get their their first reactive bowling ball. It is also a phenomenal benchmark ball that you can throw on almost any oil pattern. I don't go to any league night or tournament without it. It is so good I am considering buying another one for safe keeping.

A must have in any arsenal

I hope they never stop producing this ball. When my sons reach 15lbs, I am buying them both this ball. Its a 300 ball for me!
