Bowling is something I have taken up recently. The Max Thrill is my first bowling ball. Previously I was using a house ball. The Max Thrill made learning the correct release for hooking it an easy process, because when you do it correctly, the ball just hooks a little bit, but still enough to throw some great shots.
When I throw the ball, I start farther to the right, and the ball hooks the perfect amount; enough to smash the pocket, but not hooking to the left ten pin.
I also like the low amount of hook, because i can use the ball almost like a spare ball. Even if i get al small amount of rotation on it by accident, it still picks up a ten pin.
I think the Halogen core does a great job of making all this possible. This core does a great job working with the centrifugal force of the ball going down the lane, and into the pins with each strike.
I highly recommend the Max Thrill to anyone who is just getting into bowling, or just wants a weaker ball.

“Max” turns out to be the perfect name for this ball. I’ve been lucky enough to have thrown almost all of the Thrill line balls, and this one is a totally different animal.
I drilled it 5” pin to PAP, expecting a ball I would easily be able to play down and in with. Something that would be perfect when the lanes start breaking down and my Black Venom is starting to be a little too strong.
I was SHOCKED upon the very first roll down the lane. This ball is much stronger than I expected. It moves. Good midlane read, very nice hard arcing motion on the back end. Although it is much stronger than I expected, it never seemed to be so strong that I couldn’t play it when I wanted to. Just weak enough to hold on pulled shots, strong enough to come screaming back to the pocket on shots I send out wide. It’s truly unlike any “entry level” ball
I’ve ever thrown in that it hits as good as the high performance equipment. Motiv got this one RIGHT.

Core: Halogen
Type: Symmetric
Coverstock: Turmoil™ XP3 Solid Reactive
Box Finish: 5000 Grit LSS
Video: https://youtube.com/watch?v=uIkuKntgK9g&si=OJBqmLlg92e2bJ2J
Layout: 62 x 3 ⅔ x 35
Strengths
Max Thrill Solid is smoother at the breakpoint than the Max Thrill Pearl, the solid cover of Turmoil Reactive sits up more in the midlane blending the breakpoint. I always prefer weaponry I can sit on top of because I can force feed it into the 1-3 without worry of it hooking through the 1-3.
Max Thrill Solid does hook more than Max Thrill pearl, however it is less that Surpa GT. The smooth arc motion of MTS is a user friendly option to me when I want to stay right blending the friction, instead of moving left at bouncing Supra GT off it.
Weaknesses
Medium heavy to heavy conditions I didn’t have immediate success, Turmoil™ XP3 Solid Reactive does not have the traction to that of Black Venom Leverage MFS Solid Reactive.
Summary
I’m a fan of small weaponry and by small I mean bottom of the chart small, what isn’t small is the reaction and ball motion I get out of it as you see in the video. If you missed out on Top Thrill Solid you won’t be disappointed with Max Thrill Solid, what you see in the video is what you can expect.
The only thing cheap about Max Thrill Solid is the money out of your wallet.
Add a Max Thrill to your bag.
Your game will thank you for it.

Some of my favorite light oil balls previously have been the Tag and Hydra, both harnessing the legendary power and smooth action of the Halogen core. So, naturally, I was really happy to finally see the original return in the Max Thrill Solid and Pearl.
The Thrills have always been way above any other entry level bowling balls on the market, and the new Max thrills take that to even greater heights.
My biggest struggle with entry level before was on challenge shots, or sport shots, even when they were burnt up, eventually I would find a limit of how much I could move in before the ball just didn't have the differential to make the corner and still have enough power to carry all 10. I saw none of that with these two. I was able to continue migrating in, and even strike at the 5th arrow with confidence.
For the price you pay, and the performance level you get, these are going to be some of the best balls to recommend for all types of bowlers who need that dry level weapon in their arsenal.
