Introducing the ferocious Overload Core, a dynamic asymmetrical marvel engineered to fill a strategic gap in the Motiv Bowling arsenal. Nestled between the formidable Predator V2 core of the Jackal series and the dominant Dominion core found in the Pride lineup, the Overload core hits the sweet spot tailored for the challenges of medium-heavy oil conditions. 

What makes this core so special is that it boasts the ability to change the differential with drilling by up to 25%, while also offering drilling options that will lower the differential. No previous MOTIV core could lower the differential of a drilled ball.  While many bowlers look for the most differential possible when drilling a ball, rev dominant bowlers are usually limited by the increased diff of drilled balls. WHEN TO USE:

  • Speed Dominant Bowlers - Speed dominant bowlers need traction on the lane to repeat with confidence.  However, there had previously been a large gap between the Jackal Ambush and the Pride Dynasty when trying to stay in slow response asymmetrical balls.  The Evoke is the perfect bridge between these two balls and a critical part of the progression for a speed dominant bowler.
  • Balanced Bowlers - Balanced bowlers will use the Evoke as a first ball out of the bag on lower friction lane surfaces.  With a coverstock that is easier through the front than a Jackal Ambush, but with a more substantial footprint on the lane than the balls in the line created for medium oil, the Evoke is a great benchmark for bowlers on higher concentrations of oil or on lower friction synthetic lane surfaces.
  • Rev Dominant Bowlers - A rev dominant bowler can use the Evoke as their heavy oil control ball without any need for more traction or control.  The Motiv Evoke will easily serve as a rev dominant player’s strongest asymmetrical ball in the bag and give them the traction and smooth response to friction needed on challenging or heavy oil conditions.

    Jawbreaking the pins

    Took ball fresh out of box and rolled it. It hooked and was way early. Took it to shop and took it up to 3000. It then did what I expected it to do. Strong, and continuous. Then after a couple games, and lane shine, I took it back to 2000 to see how it worked. After 2 games. It was a tad stronger and gave me the look I wanted. Just needs some lane time to tame the early hook. I also tried it polished, but do not have enough hand to appreciate what it could do. Ball looks great and is very good on houses with a little more volume. If you have more hand, this rock may need surface modification, or polish to really shine.

    I have yet to be dissatisfied with any Motiv ball and trust me I have a lot. The Evoke is very versatile dull or shined it handles whatever lane condition you come across. It’s up to you the bowler to make the right decision on what ball and what surface to use. Colors of it deter a lot of bowlers but not I.

    The beach ball for the lanes

    This was my first Motiv ball. I have only ever used brands of Brunswick but now I’m switching to Motiv. I work at my local pro shop and the owner wanted me to use something besides Hammer and Ebonite. Now all I use is Motiv and lots of my customers have started using Motiv, specifically the Evoke. I drilled mine 55x4x40. Reads early in the front and strong backend that hits hard. The colors of the Evoke always turn heads. Everyone calls it the beach ball. I tell the it is the beach ball you will ever have.

    I have a lot of friends that have Motiv products and 1 of them was kind enough to let me use his Evoke and let me tell you, it did not disappoint one bit! I've been looking at this bowling ball for about 6 months but unfortunately haven't had the funds to drop the "ball" no puns intended ?. This ball is amazing and one day I will have this in my arsenal!

    About Me I throw nothing but motivs. I introduced my son to motiv which he is 16 and only been bowling for 3 years. There is no other brand for me other than motive.

    Beach ball for my boy

    I introduced my son to Motiv bowling, he is normally a 140 avg bowler. So the Evoke was his first Motiv. And he fell in love with it. Ever since he started throwing this ball his average went from 140 to 180. He says the ball is so smooth out of his hand, it does exactly what he wants to do. It's predictable other than the other brand he used. It stayed on line in fresh oil, and didn't over react on dry lanes. He can't wait for the next Motiv he purchases.
