View Privacy PolicyThe new Fatal Venom is a must have in your bag. The original Gear core from the Venom Shock and the latest in technology in a Pearl Reactive Cover you can't go wrong. If you have a Venom Shock then you need this ball in your bag as it is the best 1-2 punch out there. This ball is extremely clean through the front part of the lane and starts to dig a little in the midlane before making a very strong turn off the end of the pattern. If you like controllable balls or angular balls this ball is the best of both worlds.

I used the Fatal Venom for the first time in league play last week -- bowling on Kegel Carbon -- taking it out of the box for the third game as the lanes transitioned quite a bit. Shot 235 to complete a 706 series. The ball did exactly what I wanted it to do -- clean through the fronts and a super strong backend reaction (carrying a couple hits that I thought could have been weak 10 pins). It's makes the arsenal that much stronger, knowing that I now have a complement to the Trident Nemesis and Venom Shock.

This ball makes me feel like I'm really good. The gear core and I have gotten along so ridiculously well over the years, and I've been missing a pearl version ever since I got rid of my Panic when I switched to 16#.
I'm not afraid to say this ball is everything the VSP should have been, not to say that the VSP was bad, just that this one is so good that there's not really even a comparison. (I'm now going to do a comparison haha)
Compared to the VSP, the Fatal handles more or less angle much better. It's far less forward when I come around it, and has less of a tendency to blow through the breakpoint when I miss it at the bottom due to the stronger cover. Not to mention, this one is far prettier.
In St. Louis, owning a VSP was imperative, but now it only comes out in late block/extremely high friction scenarios.
Compared to the Supra, the Fatal is much more forward, lower flaring, and a tiny bit stronger for me. They're different enough to justify having both in a tournament bag, not so much a 3 ball league bag in my opinion unless you're bowling on very high friction surfaces/wood.
My first tournament throwing the Fatal I had front 10 twice and a 300 (Second 300 this month with this cover system (Jackal Flash)) I was able to stay in it for 6 games and never really gave the pocket away. Let me also say that in tournament settings, I historically suck, so this ball quite literally makes me feel better than i am.
I laid this one out 4.5x35, and took the finish down to 360, then all the way back up to 4000 and that made this ball infinitely more versatile.
To sum it up, this is my new go-to pearl when the Flash is too big.

Fatal Venom steps into the Venom line of balls like it owns the house. It is so clean in the fronts and then comes roaring back like a champ. On mid to dry lanes this ball let’s you move deeper and get the ball down lane and know that it will turn the corner with power. This is a ball for every bowler out there.

The Fatal Venom is the cleanest and most angular ball in the Venom line, using the same Gear core as the Venom Shock with a pearl cover. This new Venom gives me the same stable ball roll that you see out of the entire venom line, but with more pop off the end of the pattern. I used the same layout as I have on my shock, and the fatal becomes the go to ball for me when the shock doesn't have quite enough to finish on light-medium oil conditions. This ball is also a great option on those high friction or lighter oil league patterns!
