The Forge Fire is Motiv’s new Medium/Heavy end ball. I loved the original Forge, so I was super excited for this release. The Fire features the new Infusion Hybrid cover stock wrapped around the Detonator core. For me it reads the mid lane sooner then the OG Forge but doesn’t over react and still keeps a strong continuation through the pins. I used a stronger layout on the new Fire, using a 4.5" pin layout. My layout helped the ball keep a strong smoother reaction overall without being crazy off the spot. The cover stock also helps it retain the extra energy through the pins. Overall if you like bigger symmetrical pieces or are looking for a big Hybrid piece, this is the ball to go to!

The Forge Fire is the newest ball to the Motiv line. It features the Detonator core, from the original Forge, coupled with the cover from the Ripcord. This ball is the perfect slot in my bag between my Jackal Ghost and Venom Recoil! When the conditions call for something cleaner than a solid ball, this Forge Fire is the perfect ball for the job! I find myself using this ball when I feel “trapped” and I need an out, my first look is to the Forge Fire! This ball, for me, sees the mids just right with enough pop downlane to hit like a freight train!

I’ve been using the Trident and Trident Abyss for the past year, and have fell in love with Motiv products and would love to be a continued customer.

My first ball I bought was a Motiv Primal Fear, and I love it. I am looking forward to trying this new Forge out.

The Motiv Forge Fire is the newest addition to the Motiv line. It features the Detonator core from the original Forge, and comes with the Infusion hybrid coverstock from the Ripcord. Both the Forge and Ripcord have been essential balls in my bag and have gotten lots of use in both leagues and tournaments. When I heard about the Forge Fire, I couldn’t be happier. I drilled mine with the pin above the bridge, which is the same layout I have on both my Forge and Ripcord.
Off the press, the Forge Fire was exactly what I was looking for. The Forge Fire gives me that additional length and pop off the backend when my OG Forge rolls up too early, but gives me less over under when the conditions have more oil when compared to the Ripcord. I was about 3 boards left off my OG Forge line, and about 6 boards left off my Ripcord. During my video shoot at a different house, the Forge Fire and OG Forge were a little closer, but after a few games I saw the OG Forge lose some energy as the lanes burned up. This will be a great ball for those looking for a ball to bridge the gap between balls like the Forge and Ripcord. I used mine in league and have been able to stick with it all 3 games with a few adjustments inside.
