Versatility. Continuation. With a brand-new core and cover stock, the Pride™ from MOTIV® is the designed to be the perfect benchmark piece.  Unique from anything currently available from MOTIV®, the Pride™ fits perfectly into the medium oil position of the ball guide.

The new technology at the heart of the Pride™ is the Dominion™ core.  It has specifications that place it between the Gear™ APG and the asymmetrical cores seen in the Trident™ and Jackal™ series.  These unique asymmetric specifications leverage the physics of the Dominion™ core so the Pride™ can be used on moderate volumes of oil and higher friction than the typical asymmetric bowling ball.

Additionally, now that weight holes are illegal in competition, the asymmetric Dominion™ core will enable players to control ball motion more than most symmetric cores.  MOTIV® Tour Rep, Brett Spangler, said, “What’s so cool about this core to me is that I never felt like I was throwing an asym.  I get the versatility of the asymmetrical core, but the Pride™ never wanted to go too forward down lane or glue up too much in the front.  To have the versatility of an asym without some of the traditional drawbacks is incredible.”

The Dominion™ core is encased with the latest reactive Coercion™ cover stock from MOTIV® called UCS – Ultimate Continuation Solid.   It was created by providing more length and more angle to the existing Coercion™ MXC cover technology.  This new UCS Reactive cover stock is the most versatile Coercion™ shell to date and complements the unique specifications of the Dominion™ core perfectly.

Speed Dominant Bowlers

Bowlers with higher speed or lower rev rates benefit greatly from asymmetrical cores.  Providing versatility in drilling and the ability to limit the skid phase for bowlers who struggle to get the ball to slow down is a massive plus.

Balanced Bowlers

For balanced bowlers this is the centerpiece to their arsenal.  The Pride is the first ball out of the bag and the one used most often.  The controllable core and cover combination allows balanced bowlers to use the Pride on a variety of surfaces and concentrations of oil.  The easily tuned Coercion UCS Cover can also be shined or scuffed to allow an even broader window for balanced bowlers to use the Pride.

Rev Dominant Bowlers

For many rev dominant bowlers, asymmetrical balls are too strong to use on house shots and moderate oil patterns.  A lower differential and cleaner cover than most asymmetrical solids allows rev dominant bowlers to have an asym in their bag that they can use on many more patterns and higher friction surfaces.

    Bowl with Pride!

    Layout
    55 x 5” x 25

If you are looking for a new, true benchmark ball, the MOTIV Pride is where you will end up. The combination of the Coercion UCS Solid Reactive (finished at 4000 LSS) with the asymmetric Dominion core (2.50RG, .042Diff) creates a strong midlane read without burning too early so you see an even, predictable motion which is perfect for reading any lane condition.

With the mid-RG asymmetric Dominion core being brand new, I wanted to put it to the test by laying it out with my typical ‘stronger core with length’ pin placement that I usually reserve for low RG, high differential engines. The greatest aspect of any benchmark ball is how it reacts in the midlane, and the Pride shines there. Even with this quicker-response pin height, I still have an exceptional ball read whether I am throwing it on the fresh or the first transition. This proto-typical reaction provides great insight into how a pattern is reacting so that I can identify either the proper line to get on or the correct ball to handle the volume on the lane. Once the ball finds its traction and starts its rolling motion towards the pocket, the consistency and predictability makes is very easy to further refine how to attack the lanes. Outside of being a benchmark lane reader, the Pride reacts well in medium-heavy to medium conditions. Easy fronts, the aforementioned midlane read, and smooth backend motion make this ball perfect for anyone looking for control. The best times I have found to use this ball are earlier in the day when the angles you need to play are straighter as steep attack vectors are not its friend. Knowledge is power. The MOTIV Pride will provide you with that lane play strategy so long as you are willing to listen to it.

    Pride

Versatility is the best way to describe the Motiv Pride. The all new Pride features a new core and cover designed to be the ultimate benchmark ball. Motiv did not disappoint. This is a great ball to see the lanes and show you what you need. Previously, the Venom Recoil filled this spot in my bag. With a stronger option, I am now able to start with the Pride and switch to the Recoil seamlessly and stay in the same area for multiple games. I have mine about 4 boards stronger than my Recoil and rolls much sooner. The Pride also pairs nicely with the Supra Enzo if you want to continue moving left as the lanes burn up.

    Pride: Your new benchmark ball!!!

The Pride is a medium oil ball that features a brand new asymmetrical weight blocks called the Dominion. The core is surrounded by the new Coercion UCS (Ultimate Continuation Solid) reactive cover which makes this an excellent benchmark ball for your bag. This is the first asymmetric ball offered on the medium line and gives you many more drilling options to get the shape you need to combat the conditions in both your tournaments and leagues. I immediately drilled two Prides one with a wide VAL angle and one with a short VAL angle allowing the Pride to stay in my hands longer as the lanes change. You will want one of these in your bag today!

    This ball is FIRE

This ball has absolutely changed the way I have been able to look at bowling. I started getting more serious about bowling several years ago. I recently started learning how to hook the ball properly. The Pride has so much versatility and balance I feel confident I can play nearly anywhere on the lane. Right now I am your typical house league bowler, but I have thrown in several different houses with it, and it goes great on dry as well on oil. I absolutely love this ball.
