View Privacy Policygo. The layout I put on it is 55x5x30. This ball is hands down already one of the best benchmarks i’ve ever thrown. It is extremely smooth and has insane continuation. I think a decent comparison to it is the Venom Shock, where as the Venom is cleaner with a faster response, the Ripcord flight is a little earlier with a slower response off the spot, which is why I feel it is an even better benchmark than the Venom Shock. This ball is also extremely coverstock versatile, I’ve scuffed it with a 1000 pad and I’ve also shined it up, and both ways this ball rolled great regardless. I can’t wait to drill a couple more of these, I would recommend this ball to any style of bowler!

I have nothing but good things to say about this ball. I know a piece that many people loved was the limited edition T10, and this ball 100% lives up to its abilities. It builds on everything that people loved about the T10. It has better strength in oil, even better continuation, and a more predictable motion off friction. The Oblivion core and Turmoil Max coverstock are a perfect match for someone looking for a benchmark piece. On house and sport it can blend over/under with ease, it allows you to stay in a zone longer than other balls and never runs out of drive through the pins while doing it all. Make sure you grab one of these pieces, no matter what it will have a place in your bag!

The Venom Shock has been my favorite ball from Motiv. It is very controllable with a smooth but continuous motion down lane. Sometimes on heavier oiled house shots or on certain patterns, the Venom Shock is just a little too weak, the new Ripcord Flight fills that gap. The layout on my Ripcord Flight is 65x4 1/2x70 which is the same layout that is on my favorite Shock. For me, the Ripcord Flight is about 3-4 boards stronger than the Shock, reads the lane a little sooner which allows it to handle more oil, but still has that smooth, continuous motion down lane. This new Flight is the perfect benchmark ball to start with on any pattern.

The layout I used on the Ripcord Flight was 60x5x30. This bowling ball defines what a benchmark ball is supposed to do. It reminds me of the Venom Shock; however, the new Ripcord Flight is stronger overall and a little more round on the backend for me. This is due to the higher diff core inside the Ripcord Flight. This ball makes the lanes easy to read and lets you know how to attack them. It takes really well to surface changes. I have thrown it at box(3k), 1k, and 2k. I prefer to use it at 2000 because it makes the ball motion a bit smoother. This ball will definitely make the pins take FLIGHT!

I just drilled my Flight up and set it loose on the lanes. Right away you see that Venom Shock predictability but think stronger. It’s easily going to slide right into that benchmark ball slot in your arsenal. It gets downlane really well and has an intense backend angular punch every bowler loves to see. In my opinion it’s going to fit into a lot of bowlers' arsenals and will be used on a bunch of different medium oils shots, the versatility of this ball really is what catches my eye. To top it all off the color of the Flight looks absolutely awesome going down the lane. Yet another perfect release from the best company in bowling.
