Rogue Assassin

5.0Read Reviews

The proven core and cover of the Rogue Assassin combine for an unstoppable combination.  Bowlers searching for a benchmark control ball on medium oil have found their match in the Rogue™ Assassin.  The Rogue™ Assassin provides traction in the oil, but with less total hook than a Jackal™ Ghost or Forge™.  Increased friction and a controllable down lane motion merge for a deadly combination.

The proven Sigma™ core is the standard for benchmark performance.  The Sigma™ core provides stability in the mid-lane that bowlers expect from a medium oil benchmark ball.

Coercion™ HFS is finally available on a medium oil ball!  This proven cover has been used for heavier oil covers and is now available on the Rogue™ Assassin.   Coercion™ HFS is intended to increase friction in moderate to high volume environments to provide a controllable down lane motion.

The combo I've been dreaming about since throwing Motiv!

The Rogue Assassin is a very controllable benchmark ball. This is a ball I can start with and remain in well into the later games of a block. With this ball I have the ability to open up the lanes or play straighter up depending on what the lanes are giving me. The continuation through the pins is the best I've ever had! This is a must have ball in your bag!

    Sigma Core? More Like Alpha!

At first glance, I was very hesitant to pick up this ball. Being a full roller and not matching up with the Rogue Blade, the strength of cover and core worried me that the ball would be too much, too early. After watching a fellow staffer using it and talking about it, I decided to give one a go.
Boy, was I wrong! The angle downlane is very much like my Jackal Ghost - smooth, but arc-y. The amount of hook is crazy! It covers more boards than my Ripcord, but still feels extremely controllable.
Definitely feel free to let this ball do the work for you. On my local house shots, I tend to play between 15 and 20 at the arrows and have a break point around 5. I just really enjoy not having to hit the ball and let it hook itself. This ball is great for bowlers who tend to not be rev-dominant, unless you like being over the gutter cap!
My recommendation is a medium-long pin to PAP distance for most bowlers (3.5"-5"). The box surface was tremendous, but I typically change my ball surface before putting them in the bag. My Rogue Assassin was hit with 1000/3000, but I'm going to be experimenting with 500/2000 and 2000 polished at my next practice session to see if I can create more variety for sport shots.
It is definitely the top of my bag at the moment and I've been happily breaking it out at league whenever possible.

    Benchmark Ball!!!

BENCHMARK BALL!!! Light, Medium/Heavy it’s the first one out of my bag in practice. I used my favorite layouts 4 ¼” pin in the ring finger with cg slightly kicked out. This drilling allows the ball to flair a 4-5” and the sigma core provides a strong predictable motion. I enjoy the dark colors of the ball that blend together well with the Logo. It's hard to beat a ball you can count on and this is IT!!!

    Rogue Assassin

The Motiv Rogue Assassin features my favorite cover and favorite core that Motiv has to offer. The Coercion HFS Reactive cover is also found on the Jackal Ghost, easily one of the best Asymmetric balls on the market. The Sigma core has been a core that Motiv has used 7 times, and this may be its best audition yet. The Assassin is the ideal benchmark ball for all bowlers due to the core numbers of (15 lb) 2.47 RG allowing the ball to rev up quickly, .047 diff keeps the ball from burning up and the Coercion cover allows the ball to have a controllable continuation down lane. If you are in the market for a benchmark, do not over look the Rogue Assassin!

    Must Have

This ball revamped my game and gave me the punch on medium I was looking for. Controllable yet aggressive with a punch on the back to finish through. I can play on medium heavy to medium. Then it's strong enough for me to play way inside on lighter shots and still not burn up before hits the pins. Absolute home run
