Thrill - Blue/Purple Pearl

4.9Read Reviews

Designed for lighter oil conditions, the Thrill™ provides length and control when lanes are dry and friction is high.

Featuring the new Flux™ weight block, the Thrill™ has a higher RG to delay ball reaction and create the length needed on light oil patterns.  It also has a very low differential to minimize track flare and provide ball motion control at the backend of the lane.

The new Agility XP (Striking Precision) Reactive cover stock on the Thrill™ complements the performance attributes of the Flux™ weight block making it ideal for dry lanes.  Both the Wine/Magenta Pearl and the Blue/Purple Pearl Thrill balls feature a 5500 Grit LSP surface finish.

The Thrill is available at an incredibly attractive price point, but it’s not just a great option for bowlers buying their first ball.  We’ve been very intentional about designing a piece that higher rev competitive bowlers will appreciate because it pushes further down the lane before making a move on dry lanes.

    Great ball for anyone

This was my first bowling ball, It was awesome! It was great for a beginner like me, it looked great, and it lasted. Now I have a Trident Horizon. The Motiv Thrill is a great ball.

Versatile for a light oil level ball

Keeping lines in front going straighter is very easy to get a good read on house shots or medium to short sport patterns. Shot 268 the first game I threw with it on a 41 ft house shot. Very smooth through the fronts with a controlled backend if you are trying to play straighter while going more up the back of it, thus lower axis rotation. If you're needing to move deeper later in the series as they open up, this will be a good option if you are able to produce at least 35 degrees degrees of axis rotation to get the corners out. Overall it hits hard for a ball in this category. I can also flatten it out if needed and feel comfortable shooting spares with this ball. The sleek color combos are really fun and make for a great eye appeal when rolling down the lane, I went with the blue and purple! I chose a very simple layout... basically straight up, pin above my ring. I would definitely recommend adding the thrill to your arsenal if you don't have one already.

    Better Than Expected

I bought this for a 2nd shift sport shot not re-oiled so it was a pretty beat up wet dry sometimes very dry situation. The first 3 games out of the box no surface adjustment 257,184,217 so pretty good for a 70 year old once a week bowler. I drilled this pretty strong 70 X 3 3/8 X 20 shorter VAL angle. I have not had a chance to use it since the corona virus has shut down the bowling industry. I am slower speed, high revs so weaker balls for lighter oil and dry lanes work fairly well for me. This will be a ball that I will use on some of the senior and super senior events when bowling returns.

    Great Houseshot Ball

I purchased this ball about a third of the way into the season. I was throwing the Hydra on my Monday night league and was not having any difficulty getting it to the pocket, but was not satisfied with the way it was carrying. On a typical league night I can take my Thrill and play 10 to 5 and just gradually move left as needed. It is by far one of my favorite balls on my arsenal

    Thrill - Blue/Purple Pearl

I am a high school bowler on the varsity team and I needed a new ball this year. I purchased this ball because of how much hook I have on dry lanes and I needed a light oil ball to help my hook decrease. I love this ball and it is one of the most easy balls to control on the lane!
