“This thing is so fun to throw!  I feel like it lets me do whatever I want to do on fresh”, stated EJ Tackett about the new Trident™ Horizon.   Utilizing a hybrid edition of Coercion™ MXC cover technology, the Trident™ Horizon exudes strength, power, and incredible versatility.

A solid version of Coercion™ MXC powers the impressive Forge™ Flare.  “It is so strong, that some high rev rate players are forced to use fiercely steep angles and sometimes throw it over the front of the lane to use it even on fresh”, said PBA® Tour Rep Brett Spangler.  “It just makes sense to merge this phenomenal shell with a higher RG core and less aggressive finish.”  And that is precisely the design focus behind the Trident Horizon.

Utilizing new Coercion™ MXC Hybrid Reactive cover technology, the Trident™ Horizon digs in the oil yet still manages to continue down lane to a degree that confounds many bowlers.  Tuned with a 4000 Grit LSS finish, it showcases more clearly the down lane motion potential of the Coercion™ MXC technology.

To maximize continuation, the Trident™ Horizon utilizes the versatile asymmetric Sidewinder™ core.  Featuring a higher RG and lower intermediate differential, it clears the front of the lane much easier than the more powerful solid balls for heavier oil volumes and retains energy to provide ferocious continuation.

    Strong and Smooth

Bought this in summer before leagues start. No use on dry lanes but great when leagues started. This is a great ball out of the bag. I'm not a big rev guy and don't have to be with this ball. When it starts to dry up I go to the Flash a great one two punch.

    The Horizon!

The perfect heavy/medium oil ball! This is the ball I pull out of my League bag on the fresh! The angular motion is perfect with this ball! The Hybrid cover on here cuts through the oil while the asymmetric Sidewinder core brings it back on your line for that perfect roll through the pocket! Definitely a ball needed for anyone looking for a ball to start the night with!

First Assymetrical ball that works for me

I was able to try the Trident Horizon at a Motiv Test Drive. I have mainly symmetrical ball right now as I have not been able to match up with an asymmetrical ball yet. I was very impressed with how much this ball shapes and continues through the pin deck. I ordered the ball right after event. Very happy with it.

    Trident Horizon

A new released bowling ball that I am soon going to get but looking off of the reviews, I think I am going to like it.

    Trident Horizon Review

    Layout - 50 x 5 x 40
    Test Pattern - 2018 US Open Pattern #4 (43')
The shelf and on-lane appeal of the Trident Horizon is amazing. On the lanes, I compared mine along with the original Forge and the Forge Fire due to its location on the ball chart. My first impression was everything I imagined it to be – a slightly cleaner piece than the Forge upfront, but with a more continuous motion downlane similar to the Forge Fire. As the lanes began to transition, I can see how the asymmetric core works its magic. When the Forge Fire became a little too quick or was a little too clean, the Trident Horizon provided enough traction soon enough while still creating that controllable motion downlane. As a fan of every ball that has been on a similar spot on the ball chart, I can guarantee I will be drilling multiples of this in the future.

While some may not be fans of asymmetric pieces or not have as much knowledge for its use, the Trident Horizon will make you a believer. With the amount of success I’ve had with the original Forge, I absolutely was excited for what was to follow. The Trident Horizon is definitely a piece that I can utilize on various patterns from start to finish – on the fresh and as the lanes continue to transition. There is something special about this Hybrid coverstock, the various surface changes that can be done with this while still being able to perform well is amazing.
