View Privacy PolicyThe Trident Odyssey has become my favorite heavy oil/higher performance ball. After a few games of lane play, the core/coverstock combination allow me to play straighter angles or cover more boards.
During my ball testing and ball motion video, the Trident Odyssey was 2-3 boards more overall hook with an earlier and continuous shape.
The Trident Odyssey is a great addition to the ball chart and a great tribute to the tradition of the Trident series.

I have two of this ball and can’t even explain how amazing this ball is for low speed high rev players. 1st one is drilled to overcome the thickness of heavier patterns. Which lets me move deep left and open the middle of the lane when the outsides are flooded. 2nd is driller to house for when carry down gets into my breakpoint and the rest of the bag can’t round the corner quick enough. I expect huge numbers with this ball by the end of the winter season.

This is the first Trident I have thrown and it has set a high bar for the next Trident pieces to come!
The Odyssey has that sought-after smooth control motion but has no shortage of strength.
A great step-up piece from the Pride I see this ball being in play on higher volume house shots or a great piece for tournament bowlers.

This is my first year throwing the Motiv products. I am so impressed with the shapes I see, especially out of the Trident Odyssey. When you need that big, slow, heavy rolling ball, the Trident Odyssey is the answer. Cliffed house conditions require balls that blend the wet Dry. The Trident Odyssey blends the wet dry really well. You can just move into that puddle and rip the grips out of it. Likewise, when you have a really heavy volume pattern, the cover is strong enough in the front to keep the pocket in play. Surprisingly, I had success with this ball on shorter/flatter Chameleon at the PBA Players Championship because the heavy roll allowed me to use my speed to control the pocket. All around, this is a great piece for a variety of patterns because of its predictability off of the breakpoint. Predictability wins tournaments.

I drilled my Trident Odyssey 40x5x30 and have been extremely impressed with the motion on this ball. It definitely reminds me of my Alpha Jackal, something smooth and really consistent hook wise. The Odyssey is definitely a zone stronger than my Pride. It hooks quite a bit but it never burns up! Definitely going to be a staple in the bag if I need something consistent and strong!
