I used my son's Venom Cobra one day when we went bowling. My son is a Junior Gold qualifier, and we were in Detroit this past year. So needless to say, we bowl a lot together. We are on a league together and have done father son tournaments together. I use a dieters intrigue right now, but have been looking for a more responsive ball. I used my son's Motiv Venom Cobra one day and “WOW” what a difference in response. I used it for the rest of the evening and shot one of my best games. Motiv will be the top pick for my next ball.

Honestly this has been the best ball I’ve thrown on the THS I throw on in league. If I would have known this ball was so good on the THS I would have bought 2.

I’ve used this ball a lot over the last year and it honestly is a must have on a dry lane. Its ability to hook in dry conditions is such a great addition to any arsenal. I’ve used this ball multiple ways, but the way that works best is playing a straighter shot, and it for sure works. Definitely recommend for a newer bowler or someone who needs a ball for dry conditions.

Now the night I drilled this up there was a worn in house shot. the layout of choice was 60 x 3 3/4 x 30. basically the pin is up and out to the right. and the cg is located just right of center of span.
So on the house shot that was a day old and carried down. the ball kept a straight trajectory down the whole lane. With a slight arc in the back. It's not too strong for a house shot but given the layout and the intentions i have this ball is not strong enough for longer patterns that carry down.
Now on viper, that is a different story, the lack of hook on the above mentioned was a distant memory. the ball had plenty of recovery and little to no deflection through the pins. I started with my target path between 7-8-9 board at the arrows, and kissing the one board at the end of the pattern. When the lanes carried down, I simply moved 2-3 boards right and kept the target the same in the back of the pattern. My margin of error was pretty decent and comfortable. This ball is exactly what I needed for what I have planned in the future.
Remember on the short patterns and drier lanes this ball is the perfect match for them. Longer patterns not so much. Don't forget to get you PAP, Rotation and Tilt mapped out cause you can only drill a new ball once, and as always good luck and good bowling.
